another heart attack, wait for me blue babe.............
Lookin very pretty, albeit not like, perhaps, the sharpest pin in the boxtarcan said:I have noticed that this species shows nicer on pics without a flash... here is a pic of the same specimen using a flash...
>>Coincidence...I just very recently asked Martin what he thought of the disposition of this species. We both agreed they are quite docile actually. While feeding I had a couple out walking casually around the perimeter of their enclosure. They were very relaxed and remained quite calm even when I shooed them back into their enclosure. While in their enclosure though I find they are quite skittish and will head to their burrows/retreats very quickly at slight disturbances.I've yet to see any signs of defensive reactions from them ie: threat postures/displays...unlike most cyriopagopus which seem to be quite defensive.I have 5 of different sizes/gender(but still quite young) and all are the same disposition wise.My findings anyways so far.hjlantern said:and are they aggresive (yes, I used the "A" word) or more shy until pushed.
>>Starting to act like a true cyriopagopus now is she?..lol....Maybe it's like you say as they mature they get more defensive.Mine are still small...largest one being about 3" so maybe they're still to young to realize they're cyrio's and should act like one..lol.. To bad they do not stay in the docile mode.I rather enjoy them coming out for walks during feeding time.I shall keep them confined now....at least the larger ones. Thanks for the update on their temperment.I don't need to find out the hard way..lol...tarcan said:Pete, this particular specimen was quite defensive during the "photo session" (and I was not overly "annoying" with it)... attempted biting on multiple occasions and plenty of threat displays... maybe it now feels big enough to stand it's ground, while the others are still smaller and rather run for their lives!
