I have noticed that this species shows nicer on pics without a flash... here is a pic of the same specimen using a flash...
Lookin very pretty, albeit not like, perhaps, the sharpest pin in the box :)

OMG, those pics are incredable!!! I have a little female and I can not wait for her to start showing adult colouring. What is the size of this one and are they aggresive (yes, I used the "A" word) or more shy until pushed.

Again, amazing and beautiful.

>>Coincidence...I just very recently asked Martin what he thought of the disposition of this species. We both agreed they are quite docile actually. While feeding I had a couple out walking casually around the perimeter of their enclosure. They were very relaxed and remained quite calm even when I shooed them back into their enclosure. While in their enclosure though I find they are quite skittish and will head to their burrows/retreats very quickly at slight disturbances.I've yet to see any signs of defensive reactions from them ie: threat postures/displays...unlike most cyriopagopus which seem to be quite defensive.I have 5 of different sizes/gender(but still quite young) and all are the same disposition wise.My findings anyways so far.

Pete, this particular specimen was quite defensive during the "photo session" (and I was not overly "annoying" with it)... attempted biting on multiple occasions and plenty of threat displays... maybe it now feels big enough to stand it's ground, while the others are still smaller and rather run for their lives!

>>Starting to act like a true cyriopagopus now is she?..lol....Maybe it's like you say as they mature they get more defensive.Mine are still small...largest one being about 3" so maybe they're still to young to realize they're cyrio's and should act like one..lol.. To bad they do not stay in the docile mode.I rather enjoy them coming out for walks during feeding time.I shall keep them confined now....at least the larger ones. Thanks for the update on their temperment.I don't need to find out the hard way..lol...

I second that!

Did you get it as a sling? If so, did it grow quickly? How many molts until the blue came through? Just curious.... :)

sorry to bring this thread back up again..i have to know what is going on..at the last post i made in this thread..i mentioned that the T arachnoking said was a male sg blue, is my c. schioedtei.. weeks later, both my c. schioedteis(i have 2) , very much alike arachnoking's, molted into female sg blues..my question is, so what exactly does a male sg blue look like? some say they are like c. schioedtei's males..but ive seen and heard that the sg blue male has a sort of rusted coloration of purple..i'm confused..any ideas?
