Oh man, i can't wait for mine to look like that!Normal N. incei
Alright, they don't have gold in their name but just look at it (they're so much prettier than the gold form IMO)
I was digging around for some research on this one (because I LOVE Avics, naysayers be webbed!) and I was reading the Avic renaming article and it seems to say these are actually A. Rufa, which I happen to have two of! Here's hoping at least one is a lady
I have had her for several years. Originally it was sold as P. platus. She has been a wonderful, feisty girl.Phormictopus auratus has made it to the top of the list for the next spider I'm getting. The dark coloring of the legs and abdomen against the golden carapace is just amazing![]()
Says right there they're just guessing. I see alot more people labelling them A juruensis M1.I was digging around for some research on this one (because I LOVE Avics, naysayers be webbed!) and I was reading the Avic renaming article and it seems to say these are actually A. From the article:
"Thus, A. aurantiaca is likely to be a junior synonym of A. rufa. However, as there is no holotype and the description does not allow for a precise identification and characterization of the species, the name Avicularia aurantiaca Bauer, 1996 is considered, herein, as nomen dubium."
Beware, tarantula behaviors can change from molt to molt. The calm sling you have now could molt and become more high strung. It's in the T's best interest not to handle regardless. That said, G pulchripes is the only T I've ever handled and it went well (one time occurence over 10 years ago)I actually own a Chaco Golden Knee tarantula (it’s a sling) and I have gotta say they’re absolutely amazing. Mine was actually comfortable with me as I let it crawl on my hand. It didn’t move, or did a threat pose whatsoever. So in my perspective these are the absolute best tarantulas anybody can ever own that’s for sure
oh that I know of. Believe me. I’ve gotten mine last month. And I’ve gotta say I’m really loving my baby as it is now. But can’t wait for the results of it getting bigger as time progresses. So with that being said. I can face whatever molt my T throws at me that’s for sure. (Not being cocky or conceited)Beware, tarantula behaviors can change from molt to molt.
