Brilliant, sparkling, GOLDEN Tarantulas

Hey guys,

As part of my collection I some day want to get all the tarantulas with gold/golden in their common name (or if something in their Latin name translates) since my last name is Golden and I'm slightly vain in that fashion.

Here are the ones I know of, please let me know if there are any others and I wouldn't mind any personal experience with these species shared as I own none of them.

I thought the balfouri looked a little out of place lol. Still a must have for your collection, even if it doesn't have "gold" in the name.

Ahh, I missed the bit about scientific names counting too. Makes no sense to me, but alright. Lol

I would prefer that they have something gold about them, but since common names can change from one country to another or might be deceptive I wanted to include spiders with Latin root names as well, also might be fun to have a shelf of some "Latin Language Gold". Mostly just trying to suss out what my choices are and figure out how I want to go about adding to my collection from there.

I appreciate all the input so far, way more than I would have guessed at! Looks like I need to plan for more shelving space ^_^

Selenotypus sp. “gold” and Selenotypus champagne robustus can be pretty gold. Might depend on where the line is drawn between gold and golden brown

Last time I heard this might not even be an actual species, it might be a hybrid or just an individual released in the Florida Keys. There was only one female holotype collected/found so I'm a bit skeptical.
