Geroldi is likely not m3... m3 is only known from northern Venezuela, and geroldi is a Brazilian endemic species (well a nomen dubium species).. m3 retain small tufts of red guard setae, unlike the “true” geroldi that have blue guard setae. .. unless m3 were improperly labeled as geroldi in the hobby and that’s what you’re referring to.Avicularia avicularia M#3 ex Avicularia geroldi . 20mm DLC sling
Looks like a standard Avic Avic to me lmaoHere's my girl. Sold as classic Pink Toe Tarantula at a big box pet store so I have no idea what species or morph she actually is.
That is my assumption as well.Looks like a standard Avic Avic to me lmao
Tarantulas sold as "pinktoes" are usually Avicularia avicularia. If you'd like to request identification, see this thread for instructions: How to Request Species or Sex Identification.Picked this guy or gal up at an expo today. The seller didn't seem to know much about it. I think it's an Avicularia avicularia, they had literally just " pink toe " on the container. It's almost 2.5" DLS exactly. Can anyone verify A. avic ?
Thank you, sorry I misused the thread. I'll fix the enclosure today.Tarantulas sold as "pinktoes" are usually Avicularia avicularia. If you'd like to request identification, see this thread for instructions: How to Request Species or Sex Identification.
I recommend adding some leafy clutter to the top half of the enclosure. Avics use this for cover and as anchor points for webbing. For more tips, see these care guides: Avicularia and Caribena by Venom1080 and Avicularia and Caribena by viper69.
