I got 2x Theraphosinae sp Grape and if they look anything like their picture, I'll be very happy. Purple spiders are my kryptonite.

I also picked up a Linothele sp. Aqua and Phormictopus sp. Oriente. I'm soooo excited for my Linothele. I need a fallax soon, but I'll start here since it's what they had.

1000030153.jpg Xenesthis intermedia small juvenile female.

Legs for days. Carapace colour definitely not done justice by my phone camera but I'm just excited to share 😁

Was going to get only the Avicularia minatrix at the expo. But who could resist these beauties!

I’m gonna go pick up a 3-inch female Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens today! This has been a species that has had my heart since I started keeping about 18 months ago, but their speed put me off. Now I feel more confident and am gonna go for it. I’ll be providing lots of anchor points in the hopes that once she’s settled, she’ll have places to bolt to other than up and out, but I’ll be ready with catch cups regardless! 😀

Here she is! It’s not the best photo because I was taking it through the lid, but her rehouse went very smoothly. She was scrunched up at first, and she was jumpy when I tried to nudge her with a paint brush, so I just let her open up and crawl out on her own, which didn’t take long at all. No hair kicking, no bolting, no threat posing. Nice and easy. 🖤

I just picked up three new slings, including my first old world, an H. Pulchripes, also I picked up a G. Pulchripes and a C. Laeta, and I just put a deposit on a sexed female P. Victori that’s coming in at 3”, so I’m pretty excited, gonna be at 5 Ts by then!

My H. Pulchripes is one of my favourite ones and it’s only like 1” DLS, stunning colours even as a sling!

I just got the Mikumki and Kenya variants of the OBT. I've got the orange and TCF already and want one of every OBT. I'm hooked on them lol

We had a cold spell so I had two arrive at once by chance when the weather improved. The first was a Pseudohapalopus Blue and the second was a Crassicrus sp Veracruz. The latter has gone into major earth moving and I can’t get a clear photo but this is the former. She is quite skittish but very pretty.

Just received a 6cm juvenile female Genic and 7cm juvenile female S. cal. Both now in their new enclosures, will dig out my picture thread at some point and post some pics. Not had a Genic for a few years, so pleased to have one again and the S. cal is my second after I lost my old adult female a few weeks ago.

Indeed, beautiful animals.
I just bought an H. Pulchripes not long ago, my first OWT, and my fourth spider, I’m pretty excited. I’m looking forward anxiously to my first rehouse, but we unboxed and housed 38 spiders one night including 7 or 8 baboons and it went fine, so I’m cautiously confident 😂. Couldn’t pass on those colours!!

Yeah, they are stunners. I just rehoused mine a few days ago, she's about 3.5 to 4 inches now and needed an upgrade.

I got my Cyriocosmus elegans last week! She was listed only as a "subadult" so I didn't know what to expect as far as size goes. She's about an inch in DLS, I think, which feels so tiny to me, haha! She's a beauty, though she's very shy, and I haven't been able to get any good pictures of her yet. She has started webbing a bit and has had a meal, and she mostly stays out in the open for me or hides amongst the fake plants and moss I put in as anchor points, but she walks into her burrow every time I touch the enclosure. So far, I haven't seen her use any of that infamous C elegans speed, but I'll stay vigilant!

How are they when it comes to rehousing? I’ve got a P. Victori coming, and my H. Pulchripes and I have a feeling my Victori will give me more fuss than my HP lol

She was quite defensive when I gently touched her leg with a paintbrush to try and guide her out the old enclosure. This went on for a few minutes, so eventually I just left the old enclosure in the new one and she wandered out in her own time. Good luck with your rehousings 🙂
