There's a thread for that ;) .
https://arachnoboards.com/threads/what-species-are-you-keeping-currently.344647/

Had a few exciting, long awaited additions in the past week or two in order to lock in some future projects.
  • 0.1 Chilobrachys sp South Thailand Blue
  • 0.1 Aphonopelma bicoloratum
  • 0.1 Phormingochilus sp Sabah Red
Thanks goes out to the two members here who worked with me in trade. Best of luck on your own future projects :).

Aphonopelma bicoloratum! Sigh. The price and size was not in my range. I look forward to seeing the development in your care. This is a species i want, but 180$ for 1 inch was not in my game.

as far as this thread goes: i am battling getting new acquisitions. I am now left with three high end empty sling cubes. The other handmade ones ended up in the garbage. Three pricey acrylic enclosures gathering dust. Time flew by.

i am done. I have enough tarantulas to keep me busy over 1 hour of maintenance and i wish to move somewhere so remote, there is no gaz.

I love tarantulas. Its a passion. I just have met the threshold. Now, when i want new tarantulas, or yearn for a new species,i need to think of space, time and feeders. And traveling.

being so far away from humanity, that vegetables are not a frequent visitor.

I got 5 E. Pachypus and I'm over the moon. I also grabbed a pair of Augacephalus ezendami and a Phormictopus full green to end my buying for the year.

I received this week a

  • Davus sp. panama sling
  • E. murinus sling
  • H.pulchripes sling
  • B.smithi Juvie
Recently Im trying to rebuild my collection with the classics but also have been very intrigued by a lot of rare species. So when shopping I try to at least get one rare T usually over $150 and then buy up some more available species or use my freebies for that.

So, I've been feeling a little off lately. I was having trouble figuring out what the issue was, but then it hit me - I hadn't gotten any new spiders since the start of JUNE!! Problem solved...

0.0.1 Phormingochilus sp. rufus, 2" DLS
P8280016.JPG
P8280014.JPG

0.0.1 Citharognathus tongmianensis, 3" DLS (hoping for a male to eventually pair with my female):

0.0.2 Pamphobetus insignis (Colombia), 1.25" DLS:

0.1 Aphonopelma gabeli (AF), 4" DLS:
P8280034.JPG
1000027390.jpg

And last but not least, so @Charliemum will still like me, 0.0.1 Acanthoscurria geniculata, 0.5" DLS:

I feel much better now. This is just a short term fix, though - the next shipment comes in about 3 weeks and will be much more substantial. 😁

sometimes I forget how attractive and food-motivated this species is because of the low regard in which they’re held here….
They're often offered as freebies here, as well, so it's not like they're in high demand or anything. But, they are in the Phormingochilus genus and I didn't have one, so... Check!

I’ve only had my Rufus for about 4 months now, but she is beautiful, webs up a great enclosure and is a joy to watch hunt.
