Just received 2 absolutely minute C. elegans, they are adorable. No way my phone camera will pick them up at that size, so no pics yet.

New babies arrived yesterday:
Phormictopus sp. Dominican purple 20240710_180330.jpg
Y. Diversipes tiny sling: 20240710_202913.jpg
Tiny baby Neischnocolus sp Panama: 20240710_181012.jpg
And a little P. Victori that molted in transit, so I'm leaving it alone to hide. Here's the little molt: 20240710_180718.jpg

Got my first non-dwarf tarantulas today!
Brachypelma emilia (around 3.5" dls):

This one just about gave me a heart attack lying upside down in the deli cup with half her legs underneath her 💀. Guess she was just in a silly goofy mood as she's been exploring the enclosure (albeit extremely slowly 😆). She has since located the water dish but seems to prefer standing in it to drinking.

Tliltocatl kahlenbergi (around 2" dls):

This lil guy has been settling in very well and has already started redecorating. Was surprised how bright the colours are irl. The setea are such a vibrant red and the legs are almost a blue black in my rooms lighting.

Also nabbed a Phiddipus otiosis and an Eresus walkenaeri, both of whom are way too small for me to get a good pic of. The Phiddipus molted en route but it seems to have went well.

After 1.5 years, we've finally filled some vacancies on the spider desk!

Those three arboreals are the smallest slings we've had. It will be great fun to watch them grow. 🥰

Visited my friend's shop. I went to the back to see his T. stirmi stock and specifically looked for one with a viable exivium. Put it under a microscope and sexed it out as female, he charged me for it as an unsexed sling.

It's been awhile since I bought a T. Before I go into premolt I thought I'd share my new addition. 5.5in Brachypelma auratum F.

She's been stubborn and hasn't moved since getting here. Here are the only photos worth showing.

She's a stunner. I think that B. auratum is one of the most beautiful tarantula species out there.

She's a super stunner! I've had maybe 15 of these over the years, at one time I had 5-6 adults. I last had one like 4 or 5 years ago. This one...this one, is shockingly beautiful. I don't know if its the fresh molt 2months ago, or if this one came from the "brachy factory" down south? Nonetheless, SO recommended!

Here is the photo that I was sold on.

I just love the full black carapace with those flaming red knees. She's candy for days.

Gorgeous lady! Visually, this is one of my favourite species. Not too flashy, but enough to put me in a trance. Awesome pic of an awesome spider 👍

I recently picked up an unidentified AFS ~4.5" w/tail. I am now convinced it is J cyaneus. Absolute behemoth of a scorp but quite the scaredy cat. Since rehousing they have sat under their hide...it has been about a week. Once it is all settled I'll get some better pics.
Top pic is scorp before rehouse. Bottom pic is the enclosure I moved them into. 20240704125609_IMG_5049~2.JPG
