I've been falling behind on record keeping (I take too many pictures, they get buried, I forget)

Itzá, Tliltocatl epicureanus, appears to now be the exact length of the box, so 1.8"

Before you call PETA, it put on a lot of size
PXL_20240520_145707241.jpg

The runt A steindachneri, who has molted twice (and more times than it's sac mate) and is still the runt 🤣 Pot was only half way full of dirt, he rearranged the rest including building a burrow he never uses. I don't complain because I can always find him 🤣🤣
PXL_20240517_234422780.jpg

Rudra, Cyriopagopus albostriatus Ratchaburi, broke an inch, I can now see an identifiable pattern
PXL_20240520_203953166.jpg

Kalon, Xenesthis immanis, who has lived underground since acquisition around 1.5" and never given me a molt. She's probably 5.5" now. I was truly hoping she would be a male despite all the heavy burrowing that leads me to guess female.

Fossor, Poecilotheria metallica, molted a few days after I rehoused it but here's a feeding pic. Definitely put on some rizz with this molt. Maybe living up to its reputation finally?

Qinglong, Chilobrachys natanicharum. You can see L2 few legs along the brim of the lid in the background. You'll have to take my word that it got astonishingly dark. Jet black. 1" now or just shy of. I'll be so sad to tear up its home. We could stay in there one more molt but I really want to get it out of the sling vial and into something with cross ventilation.

Last night/this morning saw molts from:

0.0.1 Avicularia rufa, 1.375" DLS:
20240521_170202.jpg

0.0.1 Hapalotremus marcapata, 0.625" DLS (no pic)

0.0.1 Hapalotremus major, 0.625" DLS:
20240521_195141.jpg

0.0.1 Hapalotremus sp. puma, 0.625" DLS:
20240523_004313.jpg

0.0.1 Phormingochilus sp. Sabah red, ~1.125" DLS (my smallest one, no pic yet)

These Hapalotremus slings are still tiny, but they're already starting to show some adult coloration. 😎

Today we had/are having some very long awaited molts...

0.0.1 Eucratoscelus pachypus, 1" DLS (last molt was 97 days ago):
1000022900.jpg
Had a bit of a stuck molt, but I was able to remove it and the little one is no worse for the wear:
1000022905.jpg
1000022907.jpg

0.0.1 Homoeomma sp. Uruguay, 0.875" DLS (last molt was 198 days ago):
1000022865.jpg

0.0.1 Augacephalus ezendami, 1.75" DLS (last molt was 267 days ago):
1000022909.jpg
1000022912.jpg
(Don't mind the skull & crossbones, that just indicates OW)

0.1 Aphonopelma moderatum, 4.5" DLS (last molt unknown, has not molted in my care since acquiring her at the start of 2022). She's flipped right now. I'm wondering if the MM being here and us talking smack about her a couple days ago finally convinced her that it's time 😆...

About a week after the other 3, wee Avic sp Colombia pulled off her dress change. Another crappy pic, but the discarded frock is on the left, mid-frame and just behind that and to its right are mz A.C.’s jelly feets.

Two more molts tonight while I was feeding:

0.1 Tapi polybotes, I'm guessing about 2.25" DLS (time for a rehouse):
1000022985.jpg

0.1 Brachionopus pretoriae, ~2.25" DLS (she's a full grown adult, so negligible size gain):
1000022988.jpg
1000022991.jpg

No progress from the A. moderatum yet - she's still just laying on her back... Hopefully by morning she'll be done!

My LARGE aphonopelma molted. Came as a complete surprise. I'm back to being convinced that she's not a chalcodes lol. It doesn't matter what she is though, I love this big girl.

My female Aphonopelma moderatum finished her molt sometime overnight. She had a section of the old abdomen stuck on, but it came off easily with a wet paintbrush. It looks a little weird underneath, though - it seems like she may have had a partial wet molt, so we'll have to see how she does in the next few days. The front 2/3 of her looks beautiful, though!

I also discovered that my large adult female Megaphobema robustum molted sometime in the last few days:

Two molts today, but both from the species known as notoriously slow growers.

Pseudhapalopus sp. blue, female.
2024-05-25 21.22.33.jpg

Homoeomma chilense sling.

She looks just like my chalcodes af 😍 why do you think she's not a chalcodes?
Looks exactly like how my chalcodes looks..
Are yall sure you have chalcodes? 😜
(I'm just kidding)

To me she still looks closer to an A anax rather than a chalcodes. And not knowing her exact history doesn't help me believe one way or the other. But I'll trust you all if you say she's a not so desert blonde. 😁

Some chalcodes are just really dark like that, my girl was so dark ppl thought she was a male when she first moulted 🙂 the common name desert blond is definitely misleading 😆 20230804_101516.jpg
My desert brunette for reference lol

Before it molted, it was really light tan, after the molt, it looked like the ones pictured. Almost like a knock off aphonopelma sp diamondback veracruz 😂 dark in the back and light up front.

I was doing some reading and I seen some people online were saying it could be a possible aphonopelma sp "new river" but the majority I've seen pictures of weren't really the same as ours. All 3 of ours pictured are more similar then what I've seen online..

Here is a repost of mine. The molt you can see is extremely blonde, but post molt it looks like multi colored.
