I’ve been having molts back to back and consistent molts. I’m a bit lazy to list because it’s basically my entire collection that molted a day or two from each other.
I am posting the pic of my favorite so far. One of my H. Pulchripes sling is finally showing some beautiful color. I feel like a proud momma. 🥲❤ IMG_2293.jpeg

Back from vacation and had quite a few molt while away. With what husbandry I've done and a cursory glance through the enclosures I haven't touched yet:
  • 0.0.1 Poecilotheria rufilata
  • 0.0.X Hysterocrates sp Niger Delta (eggsack estimated around 180 slings molted to 2i plus a 5i sling from another bloodline)
  • 0.0.3 Aphonopelma mooreae
  • 0.0.2 Aphonopelma marxi
  • 0.0.1 Homoeomma chilense
  • 0.0.1 Avicularia rufa
  • 0.0.1 Avicularia minatrix
  • 0.0.2 Avicularia avicularia M2 (ex Avicularia braunshauseni)
  • 0.0.1 Avicularia variegata
  • 0.0.1 Cyriopagopus sp Sumatran Tiger
  • 1.0 Aphonopelma sp Dragoons (ultimate molt, was under the impression this one was female, but guess I was wrong. My confirmed female just molted recently and should be mature now, so silver linings I guess)
  • 0.0.1 Aphonopelma sp Michoacan
  • 0.1 Ornithoctonus sp Ranong Blue
Won't surprise me if this list grows as I work through the rest of the husbandry tasks this week.

More molters to report!

0.0.3 Phormingochilus sp. Sabah Blue molted in the last few days, all are roughly 1.625" DLS now (here's hairy front legs to prove it 😉):

1.0 Monocentropus balfouri, close to 2.75" DLS. Stoked about this one because it actually looks like a balfouri now instead of just a little grey spider (not the best pic):

0.0.1 Haploclastus sp. Khali molted. No idea what sex it is or really what size - all I ever see are front legs sticking out of it's turret mound burrow entrance. The legs look cool though!

0.1 Psalmopoeus victori (Mars) - should be close to 5" DLS once she gets stretched out. Time for a bigger enclosure!

I've largely refrained from posting for the past week for obvious reasons, but my surviving Ts have kept molting like clockwork:

- All three of my Omothymus violaceopes "Pahang" slings have now molted (edit: my larger juvenile seems to have done so as well at some point after a lengthy premolt, as it's thrown out its molt just now)
- One of my Psalmopoeus victori slings molted and the other likely has done so as well
- Two of my Cyriopagopus lividus slings and my freebie C. albostratus sling have molted
- Both of my Pamphobeteus sp. "Big Black"/cf. antinous (not true antinous) slings have molted
- My freebie GBB sling has molted
- The larger of my Lampropelma nigerrimum slings has molted
- All of my Chilobrachys andersoni, C. huahini, and C. sp. "Kaeng Krachan" slings have molted....marred by the death of one of the huahini slings getting eaten by a pinhead cricket partway through its molt (there was basically no premolt stage for any of the Chilobrachys and I was away at work when that sling was molting)
- One of my S. calceatum slings has molted

Edit: just after I made this post I found that my Phormingochilus sp. "Rufus" sling has molted into a juvenile minutes earlier, and that the larger of my P. irminia slings has also done so last night.

My little Nhandu Chromatus Sling 🥰 IMG_2538.jpeg
Also my GBB Sling IMG_2537.jpeg
Also my P. Murinus the nasty little booger IMG_2461.jpeg
These are just a few that molted within the last few days/ weeks. I had my P. Cambridgie molt last night but I only saw it’s little feet and I saw the orange lines more visible than before. Haven’t been on here in months so I haven’t really been taking pics of my lil dudes but here I am again hoping to take more rad pics of the lil dudes as they grow.

Another of my 0.0.1 Stromatopelma calceatum slings, one of my Ornithoctoninae sp. "Vietnam Silver" slings, two of my Cyriopagopus sp. "Bach Ma" slings and a C. lividus sling have all molted today.

I suspect both of my Ornithoctoninae sp. "Phan Cay Blue" juveniles, the remaining S. calceatum sling, and various other slings are in premolt.

0.0.1 Lasiodora difficilis sling molted this evening after an estimated two weeks in premolt.
83FA4A4D-114B-4CF9-8AE4-8FBD01138394.jpeg

That makes the fifth molt this month! Not bad for a collection of only twelve tarantulas!

The other four molts, in chronological order:
  • 0.0.1 Pamphobeteus cascada sling - Arrived in heavy premolt on June 1st and molted three days later on the 4th.
  • 0.0.1 Acanthoscurria geniculata juvenile “Squeaky” - Molted during the night on June 15th.
  • 0.1.0 Brachypelma hamorii juvenile “Ruby” - Not sure of the exact molt date, but noticed the molt when peeking through the partially covered hide entrance on 06/15/23. Guessing probably a few days to a week prior to that.
  • 0.0.1 Pamphobeteus antinous sling - Arrived on the 21st, also in heavy premolt, though I did not realize it was in premolt because its abdomen was quite small. I even fed it a whole mealworm on the 24th. I realized a molt was imminent when it started webbing. Molted on the 26th, just 2 days after taking down a full size mealworm! Gotta love Pamphos.
And the molting marathon may not be over yet, as my little Bumba horrida sling is due to molt soon. I look forward to seeing how that plays out.

In the last few days I've had molts by:

0.0.2 Phormingochilus sp. Sabah red, both around 1.25" DLS now.

0.0.1 Encyocratella olivacea, 2.75" DLS (honestly can't tell what sex):

And 0.0.1 Harpactira dictator, 2.75" DLS (suspect male) is molting now:
