Sadly I feel like mine would be thrown out in the snow or bug bombed. No one around me at this point in my life would be willing to take them.

Do you know, my mother, who is not at all interested in tarantulas and is a little bit afraid of them, actually raise this issue with me. She told me to be sure and label everything clearly so they would know what they are dealing with if the worst were to happen. I would hope they would go to arachnoboards friends, probably in the area. Worst come to worst, they would end up on Craigslist.

I was going to start a thread on this topic, but then I ran across that this one that actually existed when I was away from the boards for a while. If anything were to happen to me, it would be come and get 'em to all arachno board members, including my seladonia at Palp Friction.

So yeah, if my mom ever shows up on this board and says Dovey bought the farm, so come get her spiders...come and get my spiders!

I am currently facing that same dilemma (not that i'm dying anytime soon lol) but that I have one more year of highschool left and i know that my mom won't watch them cause she's afraid so more than likely they'll go back to swiftsinverts cause we live in the same city

I have someone who would be ok taking my animals, including my T. She's stated that she's not all too keen on T's, but she would take if needs be. This convo didn't come about from likely hood of death or anything. It's just that I was having issues at the time with the landlord company in regards to my animals. The issue is resolved, and I'm still here. More importantly, so are my animals lol.

My family would probably want to do something with them, but they wouldn't know how to take care of them and would spend so much time discussing (arguing, really) what they should do, all my inverts would die of dehydration. And trying to talk to them now wouldn't help, if I say more than a couple sentences about any of my inverts I can see their interest fading as I speak. I do think (hope) they would at least take of Sally, my cat.

I raised this issue with my sister awhile back, and much to my surprise, she said she’d keep them. If that isn’t the case though, I’d love for them to go to other hobbyists on Arachnoboards. They all deserve to go to good homes.

Well, I would be dead so....like I wouldn't be around to worry about it. This is why I have never thought about "what happens to ___ after I die?", you're dead, enjoy the peace of not having to care about such things life brings.
