First off n most important where did you get the clear tubs from ? I have been looking and can't find any, they are all cloudy.
Secondly, we both know that perfect vent holes are super satisfying 😌, bet once you've done it n they are all the same size and distance apart, you smile 😁. N not just because you've eventually done them all but because they are done right πŸ˜‰.
Music on tools out n will be done in no time πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š.
Lol I'm not as exacting with these as one might think. The ventilation holes are on the sides, so out of sight, out of mind  .

Tbf if i had as mqny todo as you i would be free handing all the way , spoods dont care if they are lvl n perfectly spaced why should youπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ.
I got bored with perfect holes I can't do em n keep annoying myself trying so the last viv I made has holes in heart shapes down the side πŸ˜†. You tried making shapes with the holes yet? I will be doing it next time I make vivs too, was fun n makes me smile everytime I see it 😊.

Thank you going to look now 😁.

Picked up this obese G pulchripes juvie at an expo yesterday.
Was planning on rehousing it after it molted as to not disturb it or accidentally have it go splat. But I opened it's enclosure to add a water dish and about gagged at the smell!
My roach colony smells like roses in comparison. I hope the T is not the source of the smell, but I rehoused it to something better. Fingers crossed it molts and all is well!

I noticed today that the lid on one of my Cyriocosmus sellatus' enclosures was raised up a little. "Funny, I'm sure I closed it on Saturday". And the more I looked inside, the more the spider wasn't there. I searched the shelf, but wasn't very thorough as I came to a conclusion that there are two options. Either she'll come out at night, or some house spider will hunt her down. So I just cleaned up the floor, moved some cables... and there she was.

That incident earned her an upgrade to a permanent enclosure. And what do I get in return? A threat pose, thank you very much.

Oh my goodness that is the fattest spider I have ever seen in my life πŸ˜‚
I hope the (not so) little guy is ok!

Hera Harpactira pulchripes saf eventually finished extending her burrow entrance from a floor entrance to a turret to a volcano that she now often sits on top of πŸ™‚.
Her volcano is now about 5 inches off the sub lvl and is as wide as the viv is at the base and the tunnel is vertical inside, after her taking months to settle when she came it's lovely to see her making this viv her own 😊. Bout time too πŸ˜†.

Went around the facility with a torch to see who was out and about. I even managed to catch a few out tonight that normally don't like to pose for photos, but instead retreat at the slightest disturbance of their enclosures.

0.1 Ornithoctoninae sp Ho Chi Minh DCF who didn't fully retreat to her burrow tonight when I pulled her enclosure forward on the shelf. Since tonight wasn't a flight night.....

20250206_235334.jpg
2 seconds later it turned into a fight night....

20250206_235908.jpg
0.1 Aphonopelma bicoloratum juvie, about 2.5" DLS. I'll see legs poking out nightly, but again pretty quick to retreat when trying to take a picture.

20250207_000021.jpg
0.0.1 Birupes simoroxigorum. These have been a challenge for me. Of the 5 slings I originally received, this was the only one I was able to raise up successfully to 1.5" DLS. Flighty would be an understatement.

20250206_235458.jpg
0.1 Cyriopagopus sp Purple Zebra. I really thought this girl was in premolt as she's due a molt and is quite lackluster at the moment. Left a prekilled feeder for her tonight just in case she was still eating. Of course she was munching on it and didn't run away as I grabbed a few pics.

0.1 Cyriopagopus sp Kalimantan. She'll be getting a rehouse shortly into a haplotank and a proper photo shoot. I kept her on a relatively shallow substrate in order to get a molt to judge maturity as there is quite literally nothing out there on these.

20250207_000410.jpg
0.1 Chilobrachys natanicharum. Even through the milky plastic of a Sterilite 1932, the brilliance of that color is undeniable. She's a few weeks post molt

The great joy of having pet holes are these awe striking moments. Beautiful spiders every one.
