Today = happy day!
I had a visit from two good friends. I sold various snakes, looked at animals, talked and received rich gifts!

T. albo 0.1 at work / B. harmorii chilling...

...and the incredible gifts! Two juvenile G. pulchras and a wonderful white sided bull snake (offspring from this year!).

I know you've put the arena for the big tubs to use successfully. Have you used the ones for the acrylic containers yet?
I don't think I've mentioned this prior, but another use for these pairing arenas is sharktanking. By leaving the female's actual enclosure lid on and stacking the male's enclosure on top of it's lid, you can line things up so that the male has access to the arena and the lid of her enclosure while she stays safely enclosed. I actually have my second pair of Aphonopelma sp Dragoons setup to sharktank over night right now.

The female is in the bottom left and you can see the gasket in place for her enclosures lid where's the male enclosure on the top right is attached to the gasketless arena.

Nice - good idea. How's the other Dragoons female doing with her sac?

Went to check on my mature female P Subfusca HL since she’s been webbed off for the past couple weeks. I was expecting a molt, instead I found her on a second sac.

Amazing catch from my G iherengi. She’s been quite shy since her last molt, but showed me she is still ferocious. She charged after a cricket and jumped at it. Her right two front legs hit a fake leaf which prevented her from making the scoop. In a split second, I saw her front two right legs fling up at that leaf, knocking it out of the way and her barrel roll that cricket. Exciting catch!

Today I was graced by my subadult H. maculata's foot. She's extremely shy and has yet to fully embrace her new, much bigger adult enclosure and spends most time tucked away. I was looking forward to see more of her now that she's beginning to show some real nice adult colours, but I guess this will have to do for now.

Two happy occupancies this morning. Previously known as Teeny Tiny, E murinus was found ventured out further than ever before from her hide.

In other news, recently matured, Wei, has finally decided to eat. Thank you @NMTs foe the advice, I will power feed him and hold off on the rehouse for a bit.

I had to log in and check my order history to see when the last time I saw this Phormingochilus sp rufus, August. What a treat! Since then I've seen a leg or two (separate occasions), his mouth once, and if I don't blink sometimes I can detect movement when I go to feed/water. I used a magnet for his water dish, glad, otherwise I wouldn't be able to find it. One time I did a smell test because I hadn't seen any proof of life in weeks.

I will never be able to capture the dirt wall labyrinth they made out of their little sling enclosure and sadly it looks like we are due for a rehouse. I am a sucker for a good turret but I think this little one has probably made the most impressive tunnel system out of anyone else in my collection. He's a little over 1" maybe 1.5". I can't believe I'm saying this about a sling. I named him "Cyclone" when I got him and that would be a fitting description of the layout in there. But it is very organized and complex. I wouldn't be surprised if there were math involved 🤣

Sorry it's blurry, he was webbing up my last little observation window like a maniac.

what kind of camera system would you recommend to stalk my versicolor sling? i’m having trouble with something suitable for picking up something small and with narrowed focus! appreciate any recommendations

That I don't know. A/V equipment isn't my strong spot. I have a Wyze wifi camera that I use to monitor my facility and record cohabbing sessions while breeding to make sure the deed get's done before I invest a lot of time and effort into getting a female to drop. I think the difficult part for you will be trying to find a night vision camera with enough detail to see a sling that doesn't break the bank.

This wise guy has been prancing around all day. He molted a week ago and is trying his best to appear tall; dark and handsome he nailed already. Swoon 😍

Prancing is about all he's going to do from now on, maybe with a little drumming mixed in now and then... know anyone with a female that you can hook him up with?

I don't know anyone else that has a female, that doesn't already have a male unfortunately. The female I obtained first noticed she was tapping at her food items. I can't prove it (and maybe she will do it again) but she vibrated at larger prey items like the hornworm I tried to feed her. I have felt this vibration in my hand, I can hear them doing it, I'm pretty sure it's what I was seeing.

I made a valid attempt this summer trying to find her a mate, and by the time I did she was laying down a half mat and molted. Then a few weeks ago this guy popped up. I wasn't expecting him to molt so fast, I wouldn't have been disappointed had he not matured! I adore this species. Genus really. I really hope someone could use him but it's now winter. I'll try though.
