She had just finished molting...so her legs look a bit wobbly... Shes so pretty!!!
Only problem with her so far is she wont put out!! I got her this handsome (slightly balding) man for her and she wont have a THING to do with him!!!! UGH....probably got her a nerd male or something. OH well
I luv vagans, heres mine. shes only about an inch long, I sexed the molt and she is a female. very fast growing for a brachy, a bit underated if you ask me. also a bit underpriced....well not that I'm complaining.
here's some pic of my little guy: dates are Oct. 8th, 2004,
May10,2005 and May 12th, 2005, respectively. (so you can see how he grew!)
and I agree with Joe1968, they are a bit more fast growing than my other brachy's
"The Grinch" Moulted this morning. I have to say that I borrowed that name from
Phong's T's because I liked it and it fits this genus so well. Now it is at a full 1 3/4".
Last molt was July 5 makes 2 in 1 month.
Other T's
B. Boehmei 2 1/4" "Oink"
B. Smithi 1 3/4" "Smitty"
G. Pulchra 1 3/4" "BB"
It burrows a bit, but mainly just to make a "Low corner" in it's jar.
He tends to stay away from view more than my other 3 T s. In
other words he is a bit more secretive. My substrate is 50% vermiculite
and 50% peat moss both purchased from a garden store. It seems to
work well except it's a bit difficult to see uneaten cricket parts without
a very bright light.
Thanks, i am a newbie to this hobby. Former herp guy
though and there is a remote similarity. What's great about
T's is that is much less expensive and takes less space
than herps or SW tropical fish.
Decided to try it once. I was told to stop feeding my boa for a while, and I cant keep the mouse, so I gave it to my G.rosea. All she did was flick hairs. Then I gave it to the P. chordatus. All she did wass hiss and strike. ........So......I looked at my B.vagans and she was hungry, so I decided to try it and.....WHAM!.... she was over the mouse in a split second, killed it, and is now eatin it.
