I knew I gave out advice to you at some point. How is the holes-to-the-ground thing going? I think it works wonders. It holds humidity beautifully. Instead of getting BBQ tongs, get the scissor hemostat forceps. You can get them at, I believe, www.scissorcuts.com. I think that is the name. I have three pairs. Two large and one Kelly type scissor hemostat. Use a large to hold a molt, and use the small Kelly type to open the skin. I'm glad your blondi is doing well.

Both Sling and Juvi are doing great thanks SS, The sling has put some serious size on since his moult.

It will eat a full mouse. Fur is no issue. Pinky rats are a great idea. They actually have more meat and whatnot on them. They are definitely a better deal. I feed mine pinky rats, not pinky mice.

When I give it a Full Mouse ,Its like it doesn't appreciate its a food source, and just picks it up and carries it over to its water dish and drops it  it does tag it hard but then doesn't eat it :?

I just think this is hilarious... a completely off-the-wall unrelated reply. I'm not trying to be an ass - it is just funny. {D

Hey SS

Do you think it is ignoring the mouse because it expects it to be moving at that size ??

You have a totally beautiful blondi!!!!!! Right now I'm trying to forget that my little 3 inch docile baby is going to get that big and need to eat that much. Btw, to anyone I made the comment to, my blonie isn't going to moult. Mattias overfed her and she just wasn't hungry. She is eating again.

Very nice of you to say so Thanks, Its a shame I don;t have one of her out in the open post moult eating, She has a very nice figure lol

I also have a sling male who I think is as handsome as hell, Here he is pre-moult

And again, After his moult Now this little lad I think is the business (even if he is mine) and he is really fierce as well. Taggs anything put close to him, he also ate 2 pinkies in one week

You don't feed live? Live will definitely get your blondis attention. My blondis will not eat frozen. I have no idea why. They eat live only. They won't even eat crickets or roaches. I have to feed my mice all sorts of stuff just to get the blondis the nutrition they should have.

They are thawed out first

Not allowed to feed live verts to other animals in the UK (The authorities here think that deep freezing them alive prior to sale is more humane :? )

She will not touch a full mouse or nearly full mouse that has the white fur present

Then hook up a mini-defibrillator and try to bring it back! CLEAR! Well, just wait then I guess. I remember this one time when I was like 15 I went to the pet store and got a mouse. Well, by the time I got home the thing was dead. So I got my hemostats and grabbed the tail and lightly dragged it around the cage. The T (H. minax) grabbed it right away. Since this only happened once, I have not tried it with my blondis. You can try it though. And if you don't have hemostats... don't take your fingers off the bench and substitute them for hemostats. *Side note: My gator just killed another mouse*. So try that and report back to me when you do.

fortunately, i'm got a 2" now that appears to be male.

since she's only about 3 years old, she should still be around when he's ready. :D
