This is my T. latipes male. He had his ultimate moult at the end of November and is now out on breeding loan. He matured at 2.5 inches l/s.

Young T. subcaeruleus. Very distinct as young specimens from all other Tapinauchenius I've raised.

How big do these get when matured? I'm getting 2.1.0 Tapinauchenius plumipes in a couple days. The female is mature, and the males are 3.5"+. I know I have a while, but any info. on breeding this species would be great!

Females are already mature by 3" in legspan. If the males are really 3.5" already then they are probably mature with the next molt. Some mature males aren't even that big. The females I have from Trinidad max out by 5".... some a little smaller.

They are not hard to breed... I had 6 eggsacs last year. Mating is very straightforward and shouldn't cause you any problems.

Whats the expected time from laying the eggs to them hatching? I have 3 Tapinaucenius females (2 gigas and 1 latipes) clutching sacs right now :D
