Sound like a big collection you got there 😮 i like the name morticia which reminds me of the Adams family which has given me another idea for a name i could call it thing after the moving hand 🤣🤣 i also like safira thats a beautiful name
The Addams family was absolutely my inspiration - I got Morticia and Bela (as in Bela Lugosi) both around Halloween and well, they're already black and orange spiders, so I went for it

I'm very lazy when it comes to naming and only ever name Ts that immediately give me an inspiration. If I was a breeder, I wouldn't bother at all, haha. Examples:

Brachypelma smithi: Anita (named after the ex species name B. annitha... and my Ex)
Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens: Niebieski (a shade of blue in Polish)
Poecilotheria regalis: Snow
Brachypelma emilia: Emilia
Grammostola porteri: Granny (she was already 20 years old when I purchased her)

Whats the story behind ziploc?
Ziploc escaped into the overflow drain of my bathroom sink and lived there for about a week despite all my attempts at getting him out. Eventually I disconnected the end of the sink, put a gallon Ziploc bag over the pipe, and blasted him into it using an air compressor. He was extremely angry, but survived with no injuries! It was quite the adventure.

At first I was scared that I'd never see him again/ that he died. I actually cried a few tears haha. But nope, the little beast freaking LOVED it in there. Webbed it up and everything. Would even stick his legs out of it in a hunting pose just to taunt me. I tried just about every conceivable thing to get him out including sewing a thread into a cricket to fish him out, plugging the drain and flooding it, etc. I had to resort to desperate measures to get that Old World creature out of my sink! My family wasn't too thrilled about it.

Props to all of you for being more original than Shelob or Ungoliant so far.
