When my daughter was four, she got her first pet - a hermit crab she named Lady Almalthia. We couldn't ask after her by calling her Ally or even Almalthia. We had to say the whole thing with title - Lady Almalthia.

I wanted to give my first tarantula a regal sounding name:

B. hamorii - Dulcinea
B. boehmei - Beboe
T. albopilosum - Aida
A. minatrix - Trixie
A. semanni - Angel
A. chalcodes - Odessa

Haven't named the sling (B. albiceps) yet.
My husband suggested Ziggy from Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars and Itsy from the Itsy Bitsy Spider.

So I've always said fang is a temp name until i figure out if fang is a he or a she.

Female: beatrix, legs, spinderella,

Angel and itsy are pretty cool names i didnt realise you could get hermit crabs as pets can u get any crab as a pet?

I like jumanji that really suits a spider and i like dampe too im pretty sure dampe was the name of the guy in a graveyard on zelda OOT

Yes you can, at least here in the US, But knowing what I know now, I don't recommend it. This was MANY years ago and the care instructions were sadly lacking. They are high maintenance and require a set up that provides land, salt water and fresh water. I am sure it can be done but do your research! I do have a palludarium with some fiddler crabs. It is a new set up but they seem do be doing well.
