I think we would need experiments with Ts and cigarettes. But i do't know no one who would risk the health and life of one's to discover that, I mean, when you want to see if something kills a bug, you try with the bug. Normally the purpose is to kill the bug.
The only information we can get is to try to get a historyc (sp) of T's health from non-smoking and smoking fellas on long time to compare. (man, why i think this phrase is very very wrong writed?)
