A "little" L2 T blondi sling from my own breeding project with plenty of chunk (and still took down and eating a standard sized cricket)

When I got her, she had kicked off almost all of her hairs and was obese. What can I say? She's got a thicc, naked booty. IMG_20230517_202920171.jpg

Nothing like a nice big T. albutt. I like the way the long setae part around those lovely spinnerets!

Aw, poor thing. She must have been overfed and perpetually stressed to have become that fat and bald. But she'll improve in both respects with the next molt. Though at her size it will a looooooooooong premolt period. Though on the up side, in the meantime she certainly is a unique sight to behold. ;)
Glad you've given her a better home.

I like big bugs and I cannot lie
You other spiders can't deny
When a spood walks in with an itty bitty waist and a round thing in yo' face
You get stung.....

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Beautiful T. Got me stumped on the species though. Whatever species it is, those legs are gorgeous with those stripes and that floof!
That's a favorite around my house it's G. pulchripes. I should of included it with the T my bad.

One perfectly coiffed G. pulchra butt.

Her last molt was March 3 and still hardly a hair out of place.

IMG_2668.jpeg Lenore here was a bit sassy this day IMG_2794.jpeg Sprout his or her name for now. My little nhandu Chromatus sling was camera shy and told me he forgot to put clothes on so he was going back in his dungeon.

55C1EC7B-4B17-4B27-9F8D-0772507DA125.jpeg 3” 0.0.1 Pamphobeteus sp. Cascada juvenile “Crusher.” I will say that the primitive camera on my old iPhone 6S does not do the lovely red colour of the setae on the abdomen justice. Taken through a ventilation hole.

~1.5” 0.0.1 Pamphobeteus sp. Platyomma sling hiding from me whilst inadvertently showing off its lovely orange butt with the signature black Christmas tree pattern. The bald spot has since started to darken slightly, hinting at the start of premolt.

And a most excellent impression it is!
Definitely due for a molt soon.

Huh, I believe this is the first time I have ever seen a G. pulchra that has actually kicked hair.
She’s definitely in need of a molt as well!
