I don’t think I have any rare ones really right now as I’m rebuilding my collection. I have a C.salei but that’s not a T and it’s not really rare per say but I don’t see a lot of people who own them or talk about them…could be wrong but anyways.
I am purchasing next week for my birthday a Davus sp. panama and a T. cyaneolum though. My focus recently is acquiring more rare T’s.

Since the last time I posted in this thread, I've added a few species that aren't very common (but they're all little and I don't really have good pics of them, some I have no pics at all)...
Acanthogonatus pissi (mygalomorph)
P3200039.JPG
Coremiocnemis hoggi
Cyriocosmus sp. oronegro
P4110013.JPG
Cyrtopholis sp. "horned"
P6070046.JPG
Davus sp. Oaxaca
Davus sp. Mazunte
P7020028.JPG
Hapalotremus hananqheswa
Hapalotremus major
Hapalotremus perezmilesi
Neischnocolus cisnerosi
Neischnocolus iquitos
Ornithoctoninae sp. "Da Mi"
P7210012.JPG
Theraphosidae sp. Kolumbia

Some older ones that are on the rarer side:
0.1 Brachionopus pretoriae
0.1 Ephebopus rufescens
0.2 Euthycaelus amandae
0.1 Euthycaelus sp. Cesar
0.2 Grammostola sp. "concepcion"
0.1 Haploclastus sp. Khali
0.1 Ornithoctoninae sp. koh Phangan
0.1 Psednocnemis brachyramosa
0.1 Tlitocatl albopilosus
Just seeing if you're paying attention on that last one, lol!!

The Purple Zebras can be absolute stunners when the lighting is juuuuuuust right....

I have seen C albostriatus available but they have never properly caught my attention. I guess I'd never seen them under good lighting, they are absolutely gorgeous. Added to the list! I wasn't planning on getting any Cyriopagopus for a while. Mostly cause C lividus is so overhyped and I already have:
A) awesome Asian fossorials
B) blue spiders

Holy Moly, the tarantula keepers equivalent of being "dripped out", truly!

A pissi is such a great name 🤣🤣🤣

Notbsure what's considered rare but I have a Grammastola anthracina. His/her personality as a sling is positive. I open the enclosure. They dart out. Glare at me. Then run back to hide. I'll take it over a threat pose or hairing. I'm dreading my rehouse of my L.P.

It'll be my first rehouse of a hairing species that I think is large enough to start doing such. I have the protective gear but I'm not sure what to expect. I've rehoused about 6 old worlds and gotten threat poses from two ad well as bites on the straw butttt hairing. Blah. I rather deal with spicy bites.

My rarest would have to be my duo of genuine, bona fide Cyriopagopus hainanus from actual Hainan stock….

Just about every C. hainanus in the trade is actually C. cf. hainanus. These two slings aren’t.

Other than Ts, I also have a true Scolopendra gigantea…

This is interesting for sure! Curious how you were able to verify this, as getting locale information on just about any animal is extremely difficult, unless collected personally.

got them from a breeder who I know doesn’t crossbreed locales if feasible: images of the mother also match the real hainanus extremely closely, more so than most cf. hainanus available in the trade (he also has females up for sale; wild capture of hainanus is currently illegal due to rampant overcollection, but the fact he also has access to slings of Hainan stock Chilobrachys guangxiensis would suggest he got his hainanus from some Chinese breeder who did the illegal collecting beforehand).

My wife got 5 E. Pachypus. We are hoping to work with breeding those in the future. It's an old world I'd love to be considered common again. The ladies with the fuzzy legs make good ambassadors for people that are on the fence about tarantulas.
