Uros...cool! Nice to see a family relative.

And Steevens.D...no problem! These are in fact from Ray straight into my own hands...

Beautiful pokies, everyone.

I was about, I'd say, 1-1.5 ft away from the P. ornata when I took that pic.

Here's a pic of one of the two P. metallicas I got yesterday.

The only pure bloodline actually in Europe comes from Ray...
BTW, there is more more or less recently wild collected material in Europe – since not everyone tends to show off his collection on the internet does not mean it does not exist...

Very true Martin. The "hobby" does exist outside of internet message boards.

Take care my friend.

Oh, and "Noexcuse4you", that is great picture! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, that's what these are... given to his friends.
Actually, the P. smithi which were recently for sale in the U.S. come from this same eggsac... just not from Ray's half... so they did come from Europe recently (from the owner of the male) and are P. smithi.
Eric
...from the owner of the female is right, female has long trip to UK and after that back, she traveled more than me last year ;)

P.smithi, molted 3 days ago. If I'm right, not confirmed by spermateca, just from ventral sexing, I have one female and two males.
Supposed female

Supposed male1

male2-premolt, would molt any day now...

Hope I'm right :)

Best regards Uros

This thread is great. The pictures are so detailed. Was wondering if you guys can post up where each Poecilotheria comes from in nature. I see random info here and there but not all in one place. Thanks

these are also pure p simith not from rays breeding but from germany untainted in any way i also have a female from rays sac there is no differance in them at all , pure p smithi have been around for a while just people didnt want to part with any i have tried too many times to buy adult females even going as high as £1300 for 1 female but they wouldnt part with 1 even though they have a few females , the last picture is of a communal group of lowland p subfusca that have been eating there siblings this is not the first time i have seen this in the lowland form infact every group has done this , in my first group i found 1 had been killed and 2 large juvs gone no trace so i started to watch them closely only to find my group of 25 juvs 1 female had just nailed a male and eatern him so i split them up only to find i had 16 juvs left so i had a close look at the sexes and there was 13 females and only 3 males left , the sling in the picture was not hungary since i feed them loads i actually watched this on just walk over and nail it , you can see its well fed with its already fat bum before it started to eat its sibling , there should be 82 slings in this tub now it looks more like 50 ??
