Picky Dubias won’t eat?

What bins/containers are clear and larger sized??
my 27 gal I found at Walmart .. ran out of space . They had to use a second smaller one. My 48 qt was warping.. with heatmat on the bottom.

Dermestid are usually in large commercial cricket boxes (and thus in many pet stores) in North America. Or at least used to be.

Ahh I don’t have any that include them just crickets. I tried regular mealworms only worked for dubia for so long then a civil war . I cannot afford to order any online right now .

Fruit fly invasion what a nightmare, any tips to getting rid of them???

Clean it (for eggs and babies) and leave the lid open ( for adults) and fan them out.

Personally I don't a few.

ok so air it out, I removed the frass a boatload of it .
Any clean up crews worth the effort that could prevent flies???

Yeah I gotta finish my cleaning of my other one first . So annoying time to clean the frass again kill the flies . I added mealworms to kill the moths now I got flies .

Worth a try I just am out of money and my mom won’t buy them. I’ve been trying soap /apple vinegar traps but they’re not working. I found maggots surviving super dry conditions in roach frass.

i wish i had that problem but yeah, no dubias in canada. Im getting fine with mealworms and crickets now, to be honnest. They don’t smell. Its working. I figured out my way of doing it.

and i wont be paying 50$CAD for 12 discoid roaches. I am too busy to manage that right now.

I actually had them in seperate bins right now I got 100 in an xl kritter keeper. I need more egg crates they are running out of space . I really wish I could sell some of them but it’s too much of a hassle.

I use two apple cider vinegar bottle traps . I removed all the frass I could find from the colony .

I tried diy traps but the flies just keep getting worse. I can’t cull anything right now that would involve using the freezing temperatures outside which haven’t arrived but I may have to thin out the dubia bin . I may have to re bin some and movie them to another room .
