Not yet. I just know the the real "insignis" lack the xmas pattern on their abdomens, so when these came in from Europe last year, I questioned their validity to be real "insignis". From years back, in my opinion, the real "insignis" female are much stockier than "machala" females.@xenesthis I've read that the 'cf. insignis' is most likely sp. 'machala'. Have you seen any similarities of the two if you own both species?

I know that the real insignis we have now, the one lacking the Christmas tree pattern, is not the machala, I meant the one that we labeled cf. insignis for a while.Not yet.
