you'd still feel like shite if your kid got bit. not worth it just because it cant kill anyone.
Point out to me where I said "it's all good, because it won't kill, it's not a big deal if your child gets bitten".

I was clearly just pointing out that this isn't something that will kill their child. As that was probably their first concern.

Wow this thread de-railed into a whole lot of nonsense ... :meh:

@Kaseyedwards9 Follow the advice of others that was posted early on in this thread. Also I second the red light notion. I have three flashlights myself: a "normal" phase LED light, a "red" LED light, and a "UV" LED light (that one is mostly for my scorpions).

It never hurts to have them in your equipment. If a scorpion ever got out they would glow brightly under a good UV light (even a weak one). In your case, the red phase would illuminate the eye shine and body without disturbing it, although it will definitely be aware of your vibrations unless you master the art of levitation.

Good luck with finding your spider, @Kaseyedwards9

Have you found the T yet?

If not, get yourself a several large stackable plastic tubs that will keep your T from getting in or out. Slowly put all the loose items from your kids room first into these tubs.

Most T's don't like bright lights. Perhaps you can discourage the T from getting to their room by putting a hall light on 24/7 until it is found using divide and conquer search methods. Also create an atmosphere the T might like in a different room/area with water and place the T might like to hide. Check it regularly with catch cup handy.

EDIT* Never mind part about the kids since I didn't read they have been sent away. But the plastic tubs will help you with loose stuff.

Look there is an obvious answer and that is to get a king baboon to exert it's royal authority over all other baboons and summon this OBT back to you. 100% positive this will work no baboon can resist it's kings commands.

Goddess! Goddess! 'King Baboon' exists no more, I personally sent that common name to oblium in Stige river. I worked hard for that :angelic:

Now everyone here knows the Goddess 0.1 Pelinobius muticus PBUH (Peace Be Upon Her) real status! I forgive you since your words are full of Truth but please no more further 'King Baboon' :stop: 1.0 Pelinobius muticus reason of life is only to keep the continuity of the Goddess.
And a meal u_u

Okay, so I'm pretty sure this is just a dumb in-joke, but what in the world are you talking about? The common name for Pelinobius muticus is King Baboon Spider and none of my research shows that that name has been changed. There is already enough confusion around common names without you spreading misinformation.

You haven't seen the light yet, have you? ;)

On a more serious note, common names are all garbage. Creating a new common name isn't "spreading misinformation" - actual spreading of misinformation is using a common name during a serious conversation in the first place. The confusion about common names is only confusing to those insisting on using them... children and the stubborn, I say.

I agree completely that common names are often incorrectly used and are largely purposeless. But there is an official Committee on Common Names of Arachnids of the American Arachnological Society, and I respect their efforts.

I didn't even know they existed... what a pointless committee. Not only do I not respect their efforts, I disrespect what they stand for. Scientists make a living off of certainty - even acknowledging a common name gives room for uncertainty and misinformation.

Just because an organization has authority doesn't mean they require respect.
