My big, beautiful girl has gotten big! And is still beautiful. 😍

I doubted myself when I bought her...even more when I got her home and realized she was a solid inch bigger than advertised. I waited a week to rehouse her out of the pet store container so I could prepare some better rehousing techniques and get a better enclosure for her.

I have not regretted getting her for an instant since.

Just gorgeous.

She's a beauty. I really love this sp. I'm going to rehouse mine into something better than a bin with more clarity. I don't feel right looking through a milky container with this one. I may possibly go all out and just give her a 12x12x18. She's out much more She's close to 6" dls now

Wow, shes a big'un! I always put any spood over 5" in a glass 10 gallon fish tank, great clarity and easy to work with.

So with arboreals do stand the cage vertically?. I'm curious about this option. Do you have an example setup you could show? (if you're not busy)

I personally don't have any arboreals myself now, but when I did I used reptile tanks for that. They have doors in the front and a waterproof bottom, good all around for them. I know of no cheap way to keep them sadly.

Serious new housing development going on at the end of the block. Hope you got all the right permits for that new construction, Drama Queen.

Meanwhile, T3 has some kinda raised ranch situation going on, after I messed everything up trying to extract the mealworm it wouldn't eat.

Notice, however, that the new front door is in fact big enough to fit a cricket through 🤣🤣🤣

Y. diversipes "Drama Queen": you got any more of those 'cricket' things? Just, uh, for research, you know.
1000016281.jpg

P. irminia "Irma": if she does, kid, I'm getting them first.
PXL_20241029_095921709.jpg

G. iheringi: wait, there's crickets?!
1000016227.jpg

Tapinauchenius sp. violaceus "T3": there WAS crickets......

T3 hon, are you really waiting for....more food??
1000016688.jpg

Drama Queen, on the other hand, is definitely done eating for this round. Dramatically so.
1000016686.jpg

Irma is still a beautiful derp.
1000016666.jpg

P.S. Irma would also like me to be inescapably aware that she noticed I refilled her water dish.
1000016682.jpg
That's the same molt she dumped up on top of her cork bark a while ago and then promptly STOLE IT BACK before I got a chance to grab it. 🙄

Could've sworn I heard the world's tiniest polite cough ever from over by the spider desk.

"Ahem? Excuse me?"
1000017479.jpg
"I was just wondering, ma'am, if you perhaps didn't hear me a couple days ago, when I said '... cricket?'"

3 hours later.....
1000017499.jpg

Meanwhile, next door, friend iheringi pounced on the water like starvation was imminent, so I offered a cricket. Apparently, it just wanted cuddles.

Friend iheringi had been having fun with the extra-jumpy crickets from the fancy pet store.

I, however...have been having perhaps less fun with them. 🤣

Yes, she got it back. And this time, she pounced it so hard she tore up the edge of her lovely web carpet with it.

Meanwhile, Drama Queen is having some challenges too
