Dear Tarantula-lovers,

My name is Stephan, 42 and I am from The Netherlands.
Since februari I own 4 tarantula's

(M/Nhandu Chromatus) "Manolo"
(M/Bumba Horrida) "Mateo"
(F/Monocentropus Balfouri) "Nina"
(F/Chilobrachys Fimbriatus) "Vesper"

I love these fascinating animals and like to share this hobby with you.

I have lurked on this site for years, but this is my first time posting. My name is Dei (pronounced 'day'), and I have been in the hobby for almost 10 years. I would spend most of my youth outside herping but now I am mostly into gaming and fashion.
I am looking to meet more people interested in arachnids as it seems to be hard finding people like us naturally outside of conventions. I have kept old and new world tarantulas, scorpions, and some reptiles. Here is a picture of one of my favorite babies,
my juvenile H. Pulchipes. I am a very curious person, and I enjoy reading other's experiences in the hobby. Okiee byee :rat:

Hi, I’m Bryan. I’m not new here, but I’m back after a long hiatus from the hobby so I figured I would reintroduce myself.

I have been interested in this hobby my whole life, and kept all sorts of critters from new world to old world Ts, centipedes, scorpions, mantises, millipedes, snakes. Pet stores don’t sell venomous critters in my state so I had to drive over the border for my first G Rosea back in 2008 or so. Made that trip a few more times for more critters until I gave online ordering a try.

I lost most of my collection due to a huge fire in my apartment building back in 2018. Hard to believe it has been 7 years already, but I am ready to start building up my collection again now that I have a dedicated creature room.

Hello.

I love spiders, and particularly jumpers, but don't have any plans to keep any. I keep Banana Slugs (Ariolimax Buttoni) and found this forum while searching for an invertebrate community. Despite their popularity, they're not nearly as commonly kept as other gastropods are, largely due to their low temperature requirements. It's been a lot of fun contributing to their documentation.

I love forums as a platform and was delighted to find that you guys are still so active! Way too many communities have moved to unsearchable Discord servers.
