Picture tyme!
My A. avic molted... thinking of breeding her... it'll be good practice, at the very least, haha.
She lives in a warped glass jar, so I can't get any good pics... So here's one of her exuvium (which came out really nice) instead. For the record, she is very, very pretty now
Rehoused my semi-recently molted P. irminia female into larger digs... specifically, one of those fancy OXO good grips containers. Man, I love pushing that button! That'll ensure she stays fresh and crispy!
Drilling these holes were a pain. The lid is 3 layers, and there are inner mechanisms that would screw the whole thing up if you drilled through them. Luckily, I didn't mess it up.
And here she is! I figured I'd get a good measurement while I had her out. She grew to ~4" in about a year. She's a weed!
I managed to get her exuvium out of her hollow too, which she had webbed to the bottom of her hide like a trophy. At last, her spermathecae were big enough to photograph with my camera.
Here she is climbing around her new enclosure. I've left most of her webbing alone inside the hollow, so she's settled in right away, and has begun webbing it up in exactly the same way.
Thanks for coming!
