Isopods are a danger to newly hatched slings?

From what I understand people use the isopods to eat mites in the tanks. I would imagine one could take down a fresh sling pretty easy too.

Im gunna wait til I see a few legs sticking out then remove the mom and get the babies out that way.
With this species, you can wait until you see them out of the sac moving around before you try to separate them. Just pull mom at that point and have all of your containers ready. Although they are very fast, they tend to want to stay in the area of the sac and it's surrounding webbing. You can pull them off one at a time to rehouse them without too much difficulty.

Some pictures of the eventful transfer of the male into the females cage.

The two cages in the bathtub. I figured this was the safest place and boy I was right!

Here he is coming out. He got pretty mad!

He ran up the tile wall all the way to the ceiling. I was able to get him into a tupperware and into her cage after.

Once in her cage he became aware of her pretty much right away. As soon as I had the cage back downstairs and on my bed he went right into her web. He drummed his palps and tickled her out with his legs. She came out to meet him and they had a nice encounter before he ran away and she retreated to her web. I don't think he got any insertions though.

WOW, that's a big male! My male is teeny tiny, hehe. Ive got them together right now, actually. The little guy was going downhill again, but a visit to the ICU perked him up, and now im hoping them breed before he passes on.

Great pics. I hope it goes well. I am looking to get one of these great T's myself but am having a hard time finding one at a price I can afford at the moment. Gotta love those guys though!

Yeah he is bigger than I thought, he is pushing 5". So he is a bit bigger than she is, she is about 4.5".

A little update

So I took the male out after two nights in with the female. On the second night it appeared that she was going after him so I removed him the next day. It took quite a while to get him into his cage, he ran around the top of her cage and then made it up the wall again before I could grab him. Funny spiders! So hopefully in a few months I will have some babies!
