Our local news station has been having a "send a photo of your pet" segment. Submitted pictures are featured on their website, and the ones that are judged most unusual and interesting are chosen to be aired on the news show. They also share your comments on your pet with the viewers.

I figured that just because Rosies are ho-hum amongst tarantula enthusiasts, mine would still likely be a shoe-in to be featured on the show, especially if I could get a sexy pose. I finally got her to vogue for the camera. I was right, she appeared on the very next news edition. She impressed the newscasters enough that they mentioned her again at the end of the news show.

Okay, okay, it wasn't the Jay Leno show, but I was still a little excited. And I got a couple phone calls to the effect of "Hey! I saw your spider on TV!"
