Yeh Fince I agree, that is an awsome picture.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I love what you do with your pictures.

There are several smart photographers on the arachnoboards, and i see many-many „best” pictures every day here.

may I ask what filter you used
I used glass filter, but the 3 lights was the main secret of this picture (natural light from left side, warm temperatured edge light on the carapace – to visualise the pinkish metallic sheen, and diffused light by flash from right side to light the shady parts).

I Used Canon EOS 30D camerabody+Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di lens at this picture. You can find how this picture made and the whole used equipment on this link:

Thank you again for the replies!

impressed

I have just registered with this site. However i have been an avid reader for some time. I must say that I have never seen such a beautiful specimen featured here. Truly, I admire the luminous qualities she possesses. Also, I believe you are doing a great job handling the photography end of this whole thing.
Much love.

I was so excited seeing my female rosie beginning to molt yesterday

Starting at 16:00GMT...

It was getting interesting about 21:30GMT
