Future Asian T. suggestion

My experience with OWs is not that big, it goes as far as M.balfouri, H.pulchripes and a I.mira. I would say the three of them are quite well behaved, never bolted or given me a headache during rehouses (well, the balfouri showed me a threat pose once).
My little devil is actually a NW, a P.irminia (that after maturing into a beautiful female went psycho), no surprises here.
Now, about the suggestion, in my federal state (NRW in Germany) you can't have Pokies, those are out of the question.
Im divided between Ornithoctoninae, Ornithoctonus genus, Cyriopagopus sp. hati hati and Phormingochilus everett.
My main concern is about their attitude overall (i know that each individual has a different temperament), regarding defensiveness, difficulty to rehouse, or how often they can be seen vs a pet hole.
Any suggestions?

It's a shame, as I want to say a Pokie, I love mine and minus male bolting on me during a rehome and running around my walls, they've been a dream to care for.
Currently, most of my OW's are slings, but I have a sub-adult Cyruipagopus sp. Hati Hati (Almost purple now!) and a C.lividum x2 (sp. Emerald Green and Blue). I would say most Asian species are super fast, potent venom with high moisture.
If you are used to OWs then I would grab any! All amazing species!

Otherwise I would of course advise you to get Tapis and Psalmos. They are NW but ultimately the best spiders! Your P. irminia will cool down again.

I actually do have 2 Psalmos, irminia and cambridgei. The cambridgei is quite calm, always in the open and nothing bothers her. The other... well if she isn't hidden she is in psycho mode (i really like here nonetheless).

I started my Asian journey with Phormingochilus sp Akcaya, raising three from 3/4" slings to adulthood. Didn't really have any issues. They're moisture dependent and need both a deep substrate and room to climb so make sure you do your research and dial in your husbandry accordingly. Mine were almost always out during the night as slings/juveniles. They're amazing eaters, which is both a good and a bad thing. They'll even eat the day before they molt. For this reason, I would offer prekilled prey whenever they started getting noticeably plump to make sure there wasn't a live feeder in the enclosure when they molted. Rehousing them when they're small can be a pain. They line the entirety of their burrows in a heavy silken sock, usually attached to a piece of corkbark. You have to delicately peel it apart to find them hunkered down somewhere inside. They also display a Jekyll/Hyde personality depending on the time of day. During daylight, they are extremely shy and will prefer to hunker down when disturbed, making them kind of difficult to prod along. Nighttime is a whole other story. They'll either bolt away with an amazing quickness or throw up a threat display.

I have a few other undescribed Orinothoctoninae sp, including C. sp Hati Hati and their care is all pretty much the same. Having said that, Phormingochilus is definently my favorite genus to work with. They're just absolutely gorgeous animals.

I have a hati hati sling that is in its burrow mostly, but I do see it regularly. I’m exited about it! I have high hopes for it as a fossorboreal!

I really enjoyed my adult C.vonwirthi (many years ago) and, although she was a pet hole, I would see her out most nights and she was majestic!

I’m also loving my lividum - just a sling again - but, at this age at least, is out and about a fair bit.

My young P. sp ‘Sabah Blue’ is also cool. (and will be beautiful when she grows up)

I have 8 pokies, I love them, but there are so many options if they are not available to you.

Edit: Forgot about my Chilobrachys; huahini and sp “Kaeng Krackan”. And, although I never see them, it’s really fun dropping feeders and watching them get grabbed and dragged into the darkness!

Chilobrachys species are pretty awesome. My C. huahini is always out, especially now that he's a mature male. They create intricate burrows, web a ton, and are voracious predators. They're also some of the fastest growing tarantulas I've ever come across...and there are many species in the genus that are beautifully colored! That said, they can be very quick and defensive spiders. I've almost soiled my underwear a few times during rehouses LOL. Really neat tarantulas.

The law is nonsense, but no action is taken against it. There is too great a risk that even more animals will end up on the list. Pokis and Selenocosmina are on this list, that's more than enough!!!

Thanks for the heads up! I really had no idea about this craziness going on! I will take it to my politicians...so probably nothing will change... But I will not buy another BMW, Mercedes or Audi and tell my friends to do the same. Bad reputation can have a big impact if it's spread wisely through media and aps.

So far i am more inclined to the Phormingochilus genus.
P. everetti is quite cheap (goes for 32€ give or take around 35 dolars) however my dream one would be a P. sp Sahab blue (goes for 80€).
Cyriopagopus sp. hati hati and Chilobrachys fimbriatus are also options.
