Hola,

So if you had to pick one tarantula to have in your collections and never see, what is it? Personally, King Baboon's will always have the unofficial top spot for me, but I cant wait til I get to catch a glimpse or two of some Haploclastus devamatha legs sticking out a burrow in my collection. So, what's your favorite pet hole?

Thanks,
--Matt

My favorite is my Ephebopus cyanognathus. I have a couple Megaphobema robustum and a Cyriopagopus vonwirthi but they just don't do it for me for some reason. My blue fang is such a beauty, a true Mother of the Depths. The way she lies so still at the entrance and can disappear so quickly into the darkness.

I really likes Ephebopus genus, otherwise Haplocosmia sp or Selenocosmia sp are cool!

I recently acquired a C. schmidti (gold) sling, and although I am really getting in to fossorials generally, this little critter is very cool.

My A seemanni is pretty awesome. Not considered fossorial, but they burrow down more than not, so I consider them to be. Mine lives at the bottom of a five gallon tank.

I have a 1.5 inch king baboon that I hope will be as cool as the A seemanni some day.

Idiothele mira.

Idiothele mira.

Seeing as I do actually see my lass out and about here's a pic of her away from her trapdoor.

Still makes me laugh watching her feeling for the entrance and disappearing beneath her door.

Of course seeing her legs emerge from the depths to snag a meal is the very best thing about these stunning little tarantulas.

I only have experience with three fossorial, perhaps four (no one seems to be able to give me good info on any personal experiences with Citharacanthus cyaneus, but so far it just stays in its burrow like any other sling I've had that size), but I love my C. elegans. It dug its main burrow right against the glass, so I've gotten to watch it grow in plain view. That is one gorgeous spider!

My favorite fossorial is a fossorial you don't see, because a hidden fossorial is a happy fossorial.

hey, i said it wasnt a classic fossorial...but they do live in burrows and are reclusive, so I thought it fit the thread:)
