You know what ... I wonder if oysters would help get T's in the mode too? :?
There have been pics of that on the board... some guy who made alot of funny pics with Tsjeffh_x said:imagine a T taking puffs from a ciggarette... :wall:
Probably because it doesn't have a burrow!GUSTO said:doesn't runaway, but charges at you when you just open the lid of it's enclosure.

Yeah, rightGUSTO said:This is supposed to be my last T![]()
First off, you can almost be sure that a petstore will not be keeping any Ts in ideal conditions...how long have you had it for? I would recommend building up some courage and maybe adding some more soil or perhaps some peatmoss as a top layer...and also try to start a burrow for it...and it might start diggin'GUSTO said:In the petstore it didn't have a burrow only about a 1/2" of an inch of bedabeast. One good thing is that it had a waterdish and they misted it's cage, but they had a water pillow in the water dish but there was still enough room for it to get water without having to suck on the sponge. They had only had it for 3weeks so I don't know if that was enough time for it to settle in a construct some sort of Burrow? I have it on 5" of potting soil right now, I haven't struck up enough courage to take him back out to add more soil![]()
How long did you have your lividum?Deschain said:Arggg...hit post...forgot pic.
It's just the Top layer that is "Chunky" but when I start her burrow today I will smash the clumps up. I also will be adding a couple of inches to the subsrate.Deschain said:This is just an observation on my part...but the topsoil you have in there, while it okay as a substrate, it looks to me like it need to be broken up into smaller size to allow for burrowing...if you don't plan on adding some other substrate in the near future. She might not even be able to start a burrow. That's just what I thought to myself...
Best of luck...lividium's are awesome Ts. Here's a pic of mine from a recent move. Her new enclosure is 8" deep of the same substrate in the "holding tank".
