At what size will they really color up? I know they are supposed to get huge...so this little one has a way to go. :)

Hi Søren,

we enjoy, for sure! :D Nice setup. Is this her real cage or do You make Your pix in a special photoshooting setup?

It's shot in a vacant Uroplatus gecko cage - natural false bottom setup ;-) Usually she lives in a small transparent bucket filled with soil - ultra basic setup ;-)

Actually I have 4 subadult males waiting for her ... so I reckon there is a pretty decent chance for a succesful mating ... ;-)

How many females do you have? It`s very interesting information for me you have 4 subadult males. How big are they in comparision to adult female?

I have 3 subadult females, plus 20 spiderlings (10 I am holding for a friend ). so I would be more as happy if we could "cooperate" with this (and many other ) species....if it`s possible...

best regards,

Peter

Not really a Haplopelma, but here are some pictures of the spiders sold as "Haplopelma robustum" "Lampropelma violaceopes" or "Malaysian Blue Femur"
