i bought mine as a litle sling in august 2003 and by august 2004 it had been adult for a lite while I think...
but mine looks like he is geting old so I proberbly wont have him till he is 2 1/2 years :/
I bought him when he was 4 months old. All together he was almost 3. I never kept a heat source on him and I fed him 2 crix a week. He grew slowly.

While it's cool to look forward to having a beautiful T throughout it's life I prefer their blue and white sling color. Because I like blue and white...but the color change is something to look forward to.

Versicolors have the best color change in the hobby. Too bad they don't start multicolored and end up blue/black as adults now that blue is all the rage.

I'm enjoying mine while they are still blue, however some are starting to morph after 8 months.

Some of the siblings are twice the size of the others. Are the sisters bigger than their brothers? Are the brothers the faster growers at this early stage? Is it a function of sex, or more a function of appetite?

I was talking to Bearskin10 about this. I was wondering if the female is mated with more than 1 male (of differ sizes) would the eggs be fertilized by differ males. Like cats...
He has mated a 3.5 inch female with 3 males of differ sizes. I think a 3 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch. But i am not sure. I am curious what, if any, variety of adult sizes there would be from the same sac.

OOoh, they're so beautiful! Ever since I became interested with Ts I've been in love with A. versicolor, even though I've never seen one in person, only pictures. I have got to get one of those! They have the most beautiful colors, both as slings and adults.

Close was two males, one was around 4-1/2" (the one in the picture above) and the other is an easy 6" versi the female is 3-1/2"-4" Greg

Beautiful spiders! I drove for 45 minutes to a petstore to get a versi last night. Guy had told me on the phone that they had one and when I get there no one could find it! They even phoned the spider people at home and they said "it's there", well, it wasn't. To top it off all their Roseas were dehydrated to the point of almost dead. I explained that they need water, not wet paper towels, and she gave them some. One poor rosie was desperately trying to suck on the piece of paper towel. So sad! Anyhoo, I'm hijacking your thread! Gorgeous Ts, I can't wait to get one!

I had never been a great fan of versi's until I read more on this board. I recently got two little first moult slings and they are very sweet (have to love the big flat feet). They are such gannets as well  and take fruit flys that are the same size as them, often jumping on them and werestling for a bit.

Cant wait until they grow up a bit more, they are called Raijin and Fujin! :)
