Seller was backwater reptiles. Reputable, but we paid for a 4 in and they sent us 2 3/4 in :meh:.
Literally, the LEAST reputable place to buy a t in the US....possibly the least reputable seller on the planet. I can't stress this enough, shop somewhere else next time.

no, they are not. and i am not even in the states to know that.
do a quick search on the forum to see what others think about them...
So that being said, is it possible for a company like this to send the wrong spider all together? This was our first and last transaction with that company

Oh, definitely. First and last time we will ever buy from that company. We love our girl but she wasn't what we paid for. I wasn't there when she arrived so I'm not sure how she was shipped.

They are known for sending the wrong everything and anything....also for the saddest excuse for packing ts for shipping in the biz....they literally have no clue how to pack a tarantula properly.

I'm going to do a search in the forum and see what everyone has been saying. I'll probably be pretty upset afterwards... Oh noooo

possible, who can tell. best is to make proper pictures of the areas which are different for B. hamorii and B. smithi and post them in the gallery to get your T identified by the community. i never purchased from a non-reputable source as i investigate the seller.

Their reputation is so bad that people here in Europe know that they're to be avoided like the plague.

It can happen, The Spider Shop (our biggest seller in the UK) sent me a sling instead of a juvie C. versicolor once, when I contacted them they apologised, sent me out the juvie the following Monday and said I could keep the sling.

If the seller is reputable and knows their stuff then there's a good chance you got what you were sold, there's no cheliceral banding (see the hamorii pic below) or black strips through the patella markings so I'm inclined to believe it's smithi

Since posting this I've learned that there are two hamorii variants, one of which doesn't have cheliceral banding but you can tell them apart by the colour of the setae on the legs, hamorii's are more white whereas smithi's are orange so the OP's is actually hamorii.
