Would an 8"x8"x12" enclosure be suitable for an adult A. avic? I found a great deal on them online and ordered up two of them. I plan on rehousing my two dearies soon, but can this be a permanent home for them? They're about 3-4" DLS now. I can expect 5-6" DLS as a max size, right?

I know Ts don't need too much room to roam, but I also don't want them cramped.

Thoughts?

@Venom1080 weve been in the same boat then haha. Been after these since around 2010.

The female has produced a sac in the states before, however ive been told the male that was used was of a different locale.
Both my male and female (unrelated) are of brazilian locale so i aim to keep them pure as possible.

The 5 slings i have came directly from a german import yesterday so ill have plenty of genes on hand in the future

Very hard to come by Avic which is a shame. This female is large and very solid/heavy

Been looking myself since 2014. Congrats. I've never seen them up here.

Do you have other things for her to climb? Plants, vines, cork bark?
Not yet, I just got it. It climbs on the rock wall in the back right now. But I planned on getting vines, limbs, etc... So it can climb. I was going to use the stuff out in the yard, but choose not too, because the chance for pesticides, etc... So I am going to go buy store bought stuff

Check out the big box pet stores. They frequently have really good deals on terrarium decor. I just picked up some Exo Terra hanging vines and plants really cheap.

Most people will agree that just vertical decorations aren’t enough. Avics really like the canopy feel of things going across the top of the enclosure.

@petkokc has an awesome video on creating your own decor, particularly vines. Check it out.
