He's resting from the trip, having a cricket, waiting on Cher and Tuesday to finish their dinne, getting primed and recharged. He's ready, and one of them ready to meet him. I don't trust the girls and wanted to know that they aren't in the least bit hungry. Hopefully they play nice, and I get to take pictures of the meeting

Which one should he meet 1st? Both are hard bodied busy little dozers

1. Tuesday?
or
2. Cher?

OMG my slings should become blueish!
Have to get rid of those immediately.

Too bad they grow so slow. :) Would be nice to see a bit their color before i get rid of them LOL Or then they are not even crinis...

Nice pics anyway.

I remember when swifty had these. Costa Rican Blue Fronts is what he sold them as. Nice looking spiders!

Geez, reviving this caused me to post a few more if my Aphono's

1. A.texense F Marge wanted me to show off her new molt...

2. one more... She had somehow managed to rub off enough of her hairs the 30some hours between casting the exuvia and pictures to have a little bald spot. I think she started playing dozer...

3. My sweet little female A.moderatum Kerry finally lost all her sling brown :D

4. Macro study of Teal, a female A.sp."Tnerb" aka "Carlsbad Green"

5. Closest to A.moderatum T.porn yet. Sassy must like this male, they've been living together since June  Yet she'll bite me for upening the enclosure.

Maybe her being WC gave her that attitude, but Kerry is a Swifty CB baby, and never has thought to even threaten me... Course, that might not have anything to do with the personalities either, but we'll never know

Did you provoke her to get into a threat display or are they that aggro? What other little idiosyncrasies that are different from your typical Aphonopelma ?

Very nice. Is that spider asking for a hug or did you make it mad?

Leon, what are you feeding her to get that much color? She is gorgeous  :worship:

I promice not to give away the secret :worship:

But anyways, I thought I would get pictures of my 3 & 4 year old Aphono slings... They grow so very terribly slow... I've got some just reaching ½'' LS and I've had them, well, since I got the addiction, some 3 years ago. I'm doubting they will mature before I'm 60

1. This little A.behlei I've had 3 years now, and she's healthy and all, but hasn't any growth hormones "Someday Grow" is her name

2. Her she reminds me of a 3-4 month old B.albo... She appears to have a good bit of black hairs though, I don't consider any of them slings anymorem as they are all at least 2 and some goingo on 4

3 & 4... A.sp."Roswell", can they grow any slower? I think "Roswell" is a better fitting name "New Mexican Blonds". I'm sure something igot left in the soil there, maybe even turning them into a dwarf species :p

5. A.sp. "Carlsbad Green" grow only nano increments faster

But, even though they are soooo slow I just love 'em. And if I get really tired of waiting on them to grow, I will get a grown one.

Oh no, that wasn't the end of the little miniT post. I've got gobs of Aphono's

1. This one is A.so."Flagstaff Orange" She is growing faster than the last 2 mentioned :)

2 & 3 Now this species really does grow by leaps and bounds when compared to these others. Meet Chloe the A.sp."Megastriatus"

4. Calfornia Dreaming, my A.eutylenum is growing a hair faster... Course you won't notice it for a few years

5. A.clarki... New to the Aphono collection but is already leading me to believe it is one of them

One thing though, I have really getting practice with patience with these special "brown" Aphono's  :D
