She was quite defensive when I gently touched her leg with a paintbrush to try and guide her out the old enclosure. This went on for a few minutes, so eventually I just left the old enclosure in the new one and she wandered out in her own time. Good luck with your rehousings πŸ™‚
Stood her ground and stubborn? Or bolty and trying to flee? I’ll tame defensive and stubborn over trying to run any day! Easier to contain πŸ˜‚. Mine is usually pretty calm/bold but even when I do startle it when I’m adding a drop of water or cricket or just checking on it, there’s usually just a retreat to one of the various hides it’s made in it’s dirt/web castle

Definitely stubborn and stood her ground, at no point did she try and bolt.

Spring sling delivery last week included:

1 x Cyriocosmus sellatus
3 x Harpactirella overdijki
3 x Ischnocolus jickelii
3 x Davus sp. Chiapas
1 x Phrixotrichus vulpinus
3 x Ornithoctoninae sp. "central highlands"
1 x Phlogiellus obscurus

A pretty nice haul, but they were unpacked in a hurry and I didn't get pics this time. I'll post some soon, though!

So I rehoused mine the other night and it behaved so well. It retreated into its web castle, so I pulled the whole castle out of the vial and just gave it a little shake in the new enclosure and it just jumped out into the new one. Took about 40 seconds 😎

Two tinys. Cyriocosmus Elegans and Kochiana Brunnipes. The latter has settled in well and is already munching on a worm portion. The former looks like I need to size it’s home down a bit.

The names <3
My OCD always gets triggered when the third Acherontia (death's head moth) species is called styx, not clotho. I mean, it's still death/fate related, but why not a third Moira?
Thank you 😊 idk y but it seemed appropriate to name them for the fates n I know styx as the river not a fates name, that would trigger me too lol.

Happy Birthday πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ cool Ts, I have most Nhandus but not this species
Thank you 😁 am getting old lol, 39 πŸ˜† time flys.... Tss have them in atm they aren't massively priced either Β£22 something daft like that . They were the only Nhandu I was missing from the genus 😁. Makes my heart happy to have them here 😊.

Nice! You crossed off a species! I was thinking about doing that with Lasiodora
