Did these end up getting moved to Tasmanicosa or am I thinking of another species that used to be in Lycosa?

Nice Wolfy. I've got three Gladicosas ,one gulosa and two pulchras, and they're some of my favorites .

@Dennis Nedry think it might be another species you're thinking of. Searching "Lycosa L-" brings Leuckarti up as the first result, and there's a few articles about them. They are huge though for wolfs, dwarfing all my funnelwebs and trapdoors except my largest specimens

@animaliaadvocate216 6cm, or a bit over 2" DLS. I have seen even larger though in recent years, mostly after several days of heavy rain. 8cm, about 3" DLS is the largest Ive actually measured

Oh wow. I'll have to look into that species , my mature female gladicosa pulchras are maybe 1".

@RezonantVoid same thing happens for me when I look up “Tasmanicosa L...”, australian lycosid taxonomy is a mess though so I dunno

@RezonantVoid According to the World Spider Catalog, it has been transferred to Tasmanicosa leuckartii.
