Kochiana brunnipes adult female. Not only has she removed all of her urticating hair, but she is out all the time. I'm concerned about her uncharacteristic behaviour. This girl was the most reclusive of all my tarantulas, only being seen a couple of times a year. Now, she's out all the time.
Further to the above. She's been in her home for a long time and is established. There is no evidence of mites. She is obviously not in pre-moult. Her behaviour is very curious. She has water available at all times and does seem to be eating.
Interesting for her to make a switch on her behavior like that. Mine isn't mega reclusive, but I also keep all of my Ts in a dark quiet closet where they're usually out if they're not disturbed.

It's just weird that I only ever saw her about twice a year since a tiny spiderling and she's always out in the last couple of months. That, combined with the removal of all her urticating hair, is concerning to me.
I have a large Phlogius that has done a similar thing. She was always a pet hide and id be lucky to see her at all but over the last few months shes now outside all the time, as early as 4:00pm. Sometimes shes picking up leaves or just randomly happy dancing, but you can literally pick up her enclosure now and she'll just sit still out in the open. Her appetite hasnt changed though, so im not too worried
