The exuvia needs to be spread out to clearly show between the top set of booklungs lol. Like in this picture. This is the exuvia of my P. murinus, it can help to illuminate the molt from the bottom as it will show the spermathecae as a darker shape between the booklungs.
@kingles024 you can rehydrate it, this molt was in a burrow for several months. just take warm water with a drop of dish soap and let the molt soak for about 5 minutes.
My ability to ventral sex depends on the genus/species, some are easier for me than others. And even when it looks obvious in the ventral, it's a good idea to confirm via molt as it is the only surefire way to get an absolutely accurate, incontestable ID on the sex. I've had easy to ventral sex species fool people far more experienced than myself.
