I said my pokie is 100% male. My friend came over and said he is 100% female. Notice I still said he. We have money on this now. Please let me know what you think.
Looks more female to me, but I'm not a big fan of uplifted angles of ventral sexing, because sometimes it makes it seem more she than he or the other way around. So what species of pokie is this one??
@Liquifin This pokie was giving to me from someone who got him for a pet store that had five different common names but no actual scientific name. The store it’s self was not reputable and I am 99% sure that he is a hybrid. A Poecilotheria for sure but he looks like a mix of a few species. The owner was told that it was a calm and docile tarantula that he could handle. Clearly isn’t a species for someone’s first T.
He tried to give him to a pet store and they said no but gave him my number instead.
Haha they told him I operated a Tarantula and Spider Rescue.
@Liquifin there is no way I would breed him. I have several T’s that come to me as rescues or adoption and they are just in my care to live out their lives.
Motto- if the T doesn’t come from a dealer with a stellar reputation, the T will never experience copulation.
I will try to get a picture of him next time he is out.
