This species brings up bad memories. A few years ago I bought one from the old now out of buisness "Arachnocanter" in LA. It was the pride of my collection. It died after about two weeks just standing over the water dish the whole time. I am sure it was dehydrated before I bought it. Anyway he went belly up soon after. I lost the Pamphobeteus SP. Equador too from the same shipment.

X. immanis, adult male
Simply stunning! I hope You have a female for him, or two... or three... :D We need more breedlings of these.

I think I can mate my pair just end of this year, or spring 2006... :(

Here is my female, and her younger boyfriend:

0.1 Xenesthis immanis subadult (AUSSERER, 1875)

1.0 Xenesthis immanis semiadult (AUSSERER, 1875)

BTW, I have noticed, my male has on the femur the purple shine (as it is normal), but also a blue shine... and my female has not. Is this a way You can see the difference between the genders in younger ages?
