My intermedia doesn’t. He hides under a half log cork bark and wanders at night. I’m guessing just to fill his water dish.

My intermedia doesn't either. Just out in the open all the time. Doesn't even use its hide.

My X. immanis lass has a burrow she stays in unless I either lure her out of or its night. Goes down to the left had corner. Across to the right, forward abit and then into the center.

My two X. immanis is always out and about, which they don't really use their hides other than when they were in the sling stage. Other than that, ever since they were out of the sling stage they are out almost all the time.

From what I've heard X. immanis is the X species that will burrow but even then....its hit or miss lol!

My intermedia came bigger then expected....especially when it came out of the paper towel feet high and stretched out feeling around. I am going to rehouse it after one molt but this thing really doesn't do much! hahahaha

They're really really pretty display species. That's about it LOL!

At least that is what I gathered so far :)

I've had my X.immanis through 4 molts so far and he/she has never burrowed, stays mostly in the cork bark hide but does venture out, same with my Xenesthis sp.blue. My 2 Xenesthis intermedia on the other hand have both made deep long burrows with chambers at the end completely ignoring the cork bark hides

Lol...apparently this genus is extremely specimen dependant!

Mine never burrowed.. They would use a scrape style hide I provided and were out in the open more and more as they grew.

I’m just doing coco coir right out of the bag and a water dish. Maybe a little water in the corner now and then.

If your X. immanis is past or at 3'' then you can easily ventral sex them with 100%. X. immanis are very easy to ventral sex like the Theraphosa genus once they past the 3'' mark into the juvenile stage. So give it a go if it's at the 3'' range and with 4 molts it should be at that size or at least close enough to know if your with a boy or girl.

It's right at 3 inches but I can never catch him outside the hide long enough, he's quick as heck and darts for it if I get near the enclosure
