This is my freshly molted (hopefully) girl she's at her 5th instar and she looks gorgeous. I was just curious when can i expect some adult coloration out of her?

How large is it? I've heard that they start to change color from 1.5"-1.75"

Since this the first time a T molted in my care i completely botched the molt measuring, i just mangled the molt so much i couldn't measure :( . I'll wait for her to get on the glass again and try to measure that way and update you guys. Thank you for the info btw.

Edit: Just measured 4cm (about 1.5inch) while she's in her natural resting position so a bit above that when she stretches out, i'd say 4.2cm-4.5 so i'm hopeful she gets the colors in the next molt.

@The Grym Reaper thank you appreciate it. Yeah mine looks like the first pic right now. And now that i think about it the lines on her abdomen did change from blue to a grayish black so i guess she's on the right track. Now i can't wait for her to hit 3 :D

i have one thats probably 2.5-3" and it has basically lost the sling coloring but hasn't really turned into the adult color yet. Kinda like an awkward Puberty stage or something.

The actual colors are more like an adult, but the overall a apearance isn't really the adult coloring yet. Hopefully you can make sense of that...

I know exactly what you mean haha mine is in very early stages of this awkward period. You can see it in the leg to body ratio too it's adorable

They start changing at around 2" and adult colouration kicks in at about 3" or so.

I really like that transitional phase, the moult after looks really rough but they're stunning once they pass that.

Good luck on getting a girl, because my luck with mine turned out male. But when it comes to arboreals IME, they tend to turn out male for me.

Why you gotta jinx me like that :(
Wasn't trying to jynx you honestly. I'm just speaking from my experience. I hope you the best of luck, but it if turns out male, then I wouldn't be disappointed either. Because MM C. versicolor are always high in demand.

Yours is a bit to small to sex accurately, its going to be tricky to near impossible to ventral sex your versicolor right now. C. versicolor are very tricky to ventral sex until the 2.75''-3'' mark, which it becomes as easy to ventral sex as in night and day at that size. You can sex a molt, but C. versicolor are famous for tearing up their molts after molting. You're going to have to get the molt when its exactly done molting on spot, or hope the molt isn't ripped to shreds when you get it.

She (Wishful thinking :D) molted 2 days ago, i rehoused her today and managed to get the molt out and it was in tact but as this was a first molt under my care i mangled it all up, couldn't even measure the leg span :/ . Nooby mistake i'm sure but i'm here to learn.

Once she/he reaches around 1.75” - 2.5” mark should start seeing a color change.
I don’t keep Versi’s yet, but my bud has had 10 of them... they’ve all passed since though sadly :(
I will be getting several this month wish me luck :)
