This is nonsense. How can you make these assumptions?Looks definitely to be a wolf spider... as for a specific ID, not sure, but looks kinda like Hogna helluo?
Maybe it was terrible to throw out specifics like that, but it sure looks like something from the Lycosidae family...This is nonsense. How can you make these assumptions?
Honestly, the first picture gave me the same idea, but without something a little more detailed, its all speculation.Maybe it was terrible to throw out specifics like that, but it sure looks like something from the Lycosidae family...
I believe he said it was 4 rows of 2 eyes each. Like:Soo, the eye pattern has 3 rows with (top to bottom) 2 small eyes in the first row followed by 2 small eyes and 2 big eyes in the second row ending with 2 small eyes in the third row?? Sorry, if that was confusing, lol. http://bugguide.net/node/view/84423
:? Your friend's description doesn't fit any of the larger spiders eye arrangement patterns.. 95% chance that spider cannot climb smooth surfaces so tell him to pop open that lid and either snap a better picture or examine it then report back to you, lol. I am going to send you a few websites via message to show your friend to compare his spider. We'll figure it out, no worries! HahaI believe he said it was 4 rows of 2 eyes each. Like:

Hahahah! It took me a minute to figure out a way to describe the pattern. But that's what he described to me.
