Others, well, not so much. Sort of like naming a Dalmation "Spot", or a chocolate Labrador "Cocoa". But, a couple of mine have completely unoriginal names, too, so I really can't say anything.

It certainly wouldn't be because the forum is lacking in such threads. There's a bunch to choose from. Seems like every few days a new thread is started about spiders' names.

I named my rosie "Kane", my Pinktoe "Anton". both named after hockey players. And a TX Brown named "Bolt" cause he's twitchy and fast lol

I have one named spider... Its a G. rosea, she was my first T...

The rest, the are numbered, 1 through however many of each species I have. Example: A. versicolor #1, A. versi. #2, ect. ect.... Same with the C. darlingi. If I only have one, well, its just what it is.

A majority of my T's are slings and therefore unsexed, but the name will stay regardless.

I have never been a T. owner and to be honest probably never would have been, however my seven year old son loves spiders. he asked for a tarantula for his birthday. Long story short he named his rosie "Minion" (He loves the movie Megamind) and his fasination has quickly become my obsesion, I already have 3 more species in mind for myself.
