I think I heard of that app before but I’m not sure what exactly it’s for. Would you mind explaining it a bit?
It's an app designed for tarantula/invert keepers. It will record and help you keep track of molts, feedings, rehousings, watering, etc. It's an amazing tool to help you manage your collection.
BTW species suggestion for you. Grammostola iheringi.

I want so many Grammys! I love them to death. My current favorite is the pulchra. The iheringi will probably be in my next shipment, I’ve been wanting one a while. I try to alternate my shipments, so I kind of do a thing where I’ll get mostly arboreals, and maybe an OW, then next time I grab some calmer NW terrestrials. I know it sounds silly but it’s my weird way of keeping myself in check and not skipping those awesome and often overlooked “beginner” Ts. People have been talking about prices going up which I haven’t noticed too much, but I have noticed there’s a lot less stock in general. A lot of slings I thought would always be there and I could come back to I just haven’t been seeing that much. This species being one of them 😭 I guess I shouldn’t keep the mindset of “oh this one might be gone soon, but I can hold off on that and it’ll be there next time.” Hasn’t held true in most cases so far.

No I get it. There's a few things I've figured out myself.I only buy T's during the warmer months so I don't have to worry about shipping weather. I've figured out, for me anyway, it's better to buy slings in the spring and let them put on some size during the warmer summer months and buy juvi T's towards fall. Then when winter comes and temps are lower I'll have to run my space heater in the T room, growth will be slowed down somewhat, but that years slings will have had a good 6 months to grow before winter.
I recieved 4 slings this week. All beginner "hobby classics", B. auratum, B, baumgarteni, B. hamorii, and B. smithi. I love my B. boehmei so much I wanted more Brachys. Today I've got a Phormictopus sp. Dominican Purple sling arriving.

Just saw your last post. Not sure if the app works on iOS. No idea? There is an older version of the same app called Tarantula Keeper.

Yeah only for Android. I bought a cheap $30 refurbished child's tablet so I could use it, though, because it's very handy.

Cyriocosmus
Dolochothele
Ephebopus

Absolutely love brachys. I need to get a klassi and albiceps next. I think appearance wise, the klassi has to be the cutest. Can’t skip the classics! I hear all the time about people getting into ows and more rare Ts, and they kind of just stop getting the NWs and I can’t let that happen to me so I make it a point to grab them as much as I grab the others.

The olivaceum I have I got an an expo. She’s feisty but not bad, shes just flighty and easily spooked during rehousings. She mostly stays in her hide but when food gets thrown in there it’s on! I sexed her a few months after picking her up and am very happy to have a sub adult female of this species. They’re really cool. Mine is the lighter color, kind of a sleek grey with a very subtle even bluish tint sometimes in the right light.

My psalmopoeus pulcher just went from a sling to a juvenile in one molt, went from 1” to 2”! And she’s absolutely gorgeous even as a sling. I think they are the most underrated in the psalmopoeus genus.
Here’s my female C. olivaceum!

Mature Male Cyriopagopus vonwirthi
Mature Male Avicularia avicularia M6
Mature Male Cyriopagopus sp. Hati Hati
Mature Male Psalmopoeus irminia

I wanted a Hapolopus the most, but couldn't really decide between them and the Cyriocosmus elegans, so got both (also have a T albo). I'm never going to be without a C elegans, personality plus and so cute! Very active, prolific webber, and hilarious to watch as the poor thing is suspicious of everything, particularly its food. I know a lot of keepers are less into dwarf species but c'mon, who doesn't want a little desktop buddy? do eet do eet!

Other than the Ts (happy with these three tbh) I'd like to get a couple of ivory millipedes and a scorpion. I'm also looking for an ant queen this year, and may catch a little P audax jumper for my jar terrarium like I have the last couple summers. The only other invert I might want some day is those fancy brightly colored flower beetles. FOR NOW (lol).

I know fear not has some smithi, which are pretty hard to come by sometimes!

The Ecclesiasticus is also on mine! I have most of the psalmos now, and just ordered reduncus and a second cambridgei. That seems to be one I cannot find anywhere. And haven’t seen honestly ever. I usually only order from two different vendors though and have only recently started checking boards so maybe that’s why.

My favorites are New World terrestrials and both NW and OW arboreals as this includes quite a variety of beautiful tarantulas that one gets to see often. :) I do have a few fossorials and OW terrestrials but plan to keep them the minority of my collection since I don’t get to see them as much.

I don’t know what I would recommend for you, OP, as you have most of my New World favorites already or at least members of the genus. I love my Ephebopus murinus but she stays her burrow most of the time (I used to have her in a shallower container so I could see her in her burrow but it seemed to me that it was not comfortable for her).

You might consider a Poecilotheria — so long as you do your research and respect the spider’s abilities, I’ve found them very trouble free as they prefer to hide when I need to open their enclosures for any reason. No, it is my little Aphonopelma marxi that run out to throw threat poses and attack the water dish as I refill it!

As to my own wishlist, should that be limited species I don’t yet have or also males I would like to acquire?

Honestly, I'd probably get Hamorii because as you can probably tell I don't care which one just love the look and much cheaper. If I see a good deal on the Smithi then I'll get it instead just so I can say I have a true B Smithi lol

I have been wanting a poecilotheria, quite badly actually, specifically poecilotheria regalis. I personally would like to wait reguardless, until most or all of my psalmopoeus mature fully and I have some more arboreal experience. My only sub adult arboreals currently are psalmopoeus cambridgei and avicularia avicularia. I do have a juvenile Psalmopoeus pulcher too though. I did just pick up a pseudoclamoris gigas as well, which I’m quite excited for. I’ve been keeping for going on two years now. Wow time flies a bit! But I try not to overestimate my keeping capabilities. Maybe I’m underestimating them.

I think your wishlist is really anything you want! I’m currently wanting an aphonopelma seemanni CB sling since my first one has turned out male. So I would still count that as a wishlist T.

I believe fear not has them for the same or near the same price as their hamorii. They’re between 50-60 USD for sure, as is the hamorii on their site so it’s probably not much of a difference if at all. I personally would trust them to have true smithi. Either way they look very similar. If you like the look of them, I’d also recommend the Brachypelma bohemei. They’re basically the same, but their legs are fully orange instead of just the knees.
Edit: the bohemei can be hair kickers though. Mine is not, but I hear some are. So just something to be aware of with those. I’ve heard they’re worse about it than most other brachypelma species but my worst kicker has been auratum so far.

I never really like the Bohemei look for some reason. That is a pretty good price on the Smithi though. Dang just checked and a little less than 50 for 3/4", they are pretty slow growers from what I have heard which may be a reason why, even the males live a long time

They are very slow growers. They’re also a very hardy species, even as slings, so they’re not quite as delicate as some. And some people believe the brachypelma hamorii to be one of the, if not the longest lived species of tarantula. Most Brachypelma have very long lifespans though, so I’m sure there’s plenty of rivals. But some people even say females can live over 30 years. I’ve not been keeping anywhere near 30 years so I wouldn’t personally know, but I find that pretty cool.

if you want fast growers, definitely take a look at Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens for a looker and Lasiodora parahybana for a big T. I have both and they’re growing faster than most of my other slings right now, aside from oddly my Chilobrachys fimbriatus. I read the fimbriatus was slow for an OW but mine has gotten to around 3”DLS in a good 9-10 months. Maybe a year I’d have to check but definitely fast.

edit: I got my C. fimbriatus sometime in August of last year. It was slightly under an inch when I got it and is now around 3” DLS.
