Third weekend would be best, but either works for me. Sounds like fun!

Other than the obvious (camping supplies, containers), what else would anyone need me to bring?

I have the majority of a case of deli cups (32-oz size), my store is always on overstock with them.

OK, it is officially August 24-26. If you have spouses/the like or family that isn't into hiking around in the heat bring them along too....

They can watch the camp while we go out and tromp through the sage brush.

i cant say yes INDEFINITELY yet, but i think it would be a blast.. not too much into critters besides ts, but i LOVE doing new activities/camping/outdoors stuff... PLUS, i hear there is some HUGE trout out that way, so if i get bored or some free time i would DEFINITELY catch some grub lol.
Thanks for the PM travis, i will be updating accordingly.

I do want to explore that area some more and probably have enough time off to devote to a slightly extended weekend. BUT, I'm in the process of working out both a Texas trip and a Yakima floater. Any dates in mind?

jaky- if I make it out I can pick up a body or two;)
I'd appreciate the ride. I'm putting in for the time off, now that the date is certain. Let me know if you're going! :)

Thanks to Travis for taking the initiative! We always have a good time and find something interesting.

Jaky- I'm in and I can come get you once we figure out what works the best date/time wise for both of us...shoot me a PM when you get a chance.

Fishing can be good & I will bring a crawfish trap or two. It's a popular area for game wardens so please everyone make sure your ducks are in a row before you drop a line in the water...unless you're going for carp: KILL! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=299EE0RvmFI (but do be sure to check the WDFW site before doing so;)

Travis,

I am a loser! I haven't made any of these and with my first son/kid due in Aug, I won't be making this on either. I even had to turn down the free guided fishing trip on the Columbia (management perk) in August as well. My castration is in progress, and I fear it might get worse.lol

I will forgive you....

AGAIN!

Congrats on the new offspring! Also, it isn't so bad. I have four of my own and I am able to get away and do stuff every now and then. But yeah, you have to stay home in Aug.

Also, thanks for the heads up about the game warden .. I got my 2012-2013 fishing liscense and plenty of various fishing stuff.. i can surely comply with any and all rules ;) for the most part lol..
Ive been busted before and got a NICE 400$ ticket, and was informed i got off easy.. I WILL NOT be making that mistake ever again.

I'm hoping to come, but I likely won't be able to camp. It's been awhile since I've been to Moses Lake. Anyone know of a decent hotel/motel?

We are camping on location. It is about 45 mins Southwest of Moses Lake.

Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make the trip now. I've been experiencing too many health problems the past few weeks to risk it. I was really looking forward to it though. I hope you guys have lots of fun.

Sadly, I'm going to have to join Risky - someone else requested the same days off first, I got all but one. Dead middle one. Sincerely disappointing - I was looking forward. Oh well, better luck next year.
